I believe that bitcoin is a terrible investment at this time.

May I ask, what is a good investment you would recommend at this time? The very meaning of the word involves risk and you're right about it from one point of view and it is that people shouldn't be investing sums that they couldn't do without the next week. Now, this isn't an investment, this is pure stupidity. But then again this isn't a general investment advice club either.

I'm sure there are many low risk low reward ops, including your local bank's "superb-interest" accounts. They'll make a ton of profits on it and pay you a tiny percent of what they make. Virtually risk free and small gain investment. If you include inflation in the math, you'll realize you actually lost money at the end of the year, but there you go.

This smells like some rumor/news.

Yes. So much so, like this: All bitcoin holders will be executed within 24 hours.

These last couple hours kind of shows that there are traders in the game that learned to accept that "dumpers will dump" no matter what and use it to their advantage. Good stuff.

BOREDUMb? Nah.

Isn't BOREDUMb an oxymoron, because you need a certain level of intelligence to be bored?

BOREDUMb definitely gets my vote though...

Smiley Yes, good Sir. We would make good friends out of BOREDUMbness.

When Chinese exchanges finally close, then soon there will be a proper drop, because there is no fake dreams to follow any more.

At first, yes. But it's too late for it to not get back up as you'd wish. This down stage is very very good for the future of Bitcoin in my opinion because a lot of people who doesn't have a clue what they're holding are being eliminated and the ones acquiring that wealth, know what it is and what to do with it will carry it forward.

That manor can be turned into something that looks so much better than the first pic. Go with white & gold man! Smiley That's what some architectures do. Buy them in such state and sell back with triple the price. So much jellyness in the air. Everything aside, it's possible to make a profit after a complete decoration work. That alone makes it a smart investment.

About new cars. Most of the new cars are as ugly as it gets and don't offer any improvements to justify the purchase. The problem is the products themselves, whether manufacturers wish to admit or not. Whenever a truly good car is made, this rule is broken and that model sells like they used to in the past. A quality 10+ or even 20+ years old German car is all you need, even today. Make a better car than a 10 year old Mercedes and I'll think about it. Otherwise, keep your tin cans and let them rust yourselves, thank you.

Yes be wary of LTC, it hasnt got much going for it anymore and one of the pools has also been flickering around 50% has rate for a few days as well.

Can you explain?
Never really saw the point in LTC, but what's different now?

Well, besides from the sheer number of alts some of the new ones (drk, monero etc) have got real world useful features. LTC apart from its second mover advantage only has faster block times which is now included in a huge amounts of alts.

Whats the advantage of LTC over an alt thats faster and anon?

None! Dark's anonymity feature is getting better with updates too.

Occasionally I also ask if any altcoins have compelling value. Now at least there are the 2.0 coins and the anonycoins. Just having scrypt is not interesting enough.

Scrypt is destined to die and won't see 2015 IMO. LTC devs said, harshly summarized, "adapt or die" regarding the ASICS and refused to adapt themselves. Coins with no clever names, no purpose or innovation will all perish. Trusting the community while betraying the core idea never works.
