yeah that page is blocked in North Korea where I live, sorry I meant the UK.
I have a program called "BitTorrent" on my Mac, and when I go to the Piratebay website:
http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/11183060/The_Rise_and_Rise_of_Bitcoin_-_HD, I click on the link, "get this torrent," and then it prompts me for a program (and I select BitTorrent), then the file downloads on to my harddrive - Viola!!!! thereafter, I am able to watch it.
Some other streaming links for The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin:
www.coinlearn.org/movie.phpwww.putlocker.tw/watch-the-rise-and-rise-of-bitcoin-online-free-putlocker-2014.htmlJust don't click on any links besides the play button on the video player.

How can they claim to sell assets when the trial has not even started ?
Read the announcement: Ross agreed to the sale.
Yes, I should have read it, DPR agreed to the sale, quoting:
WHEREAS, the Government and Ulbricht agree that, due to the volatile market for bitcoins, the Computer Hardware
Bitcoins risk losing value during the pendency of the forfeiture proceedings;
WHEREAS, the Government and Ulbricht agree that the Computer Hardware Bitcoins are to be liquidated or sold by the
Government before the conclusion of the forfeiture proceedings, with the net proceeds of the sale to be held as
substitute res pending further order of this Court;
Who is Ross?
You mean you don't know who Ross Ulbricht is and somehow you're a Senior member in Bitcointalk?
Strange.

"Dollar averaging" is not a rational thing to do, it is only a psychological pacifier, right?
If one bought 100 coins at 800$, buying 100 more at 400$ does not compensate or alleviate the loss of the first buy. It only mixes a vexing mistake with a minor mistake to make a double dose of a medium-strength mistake. The loss from the first buy is still there. Right?
Wrong.
If you bought 100 coins at $800, you should buy 200 coins at $400.
And if it drops further to $200, you should buy an additional 400 coins.
Duh.

This!
That is why when you start buying BTC for the first time you start with only 10% of your funds dedicated to buying BTC.
Another glimpse of the Bitcoiner mentality

Just out of curiousity, what is your specific mentality when it comes to Bitcoin?
Or are you sold out of all your positions already?

How long is your attention span, bro? For the past year, ever since pro traders have come to play in our sandbox with their bulldozers and dynamite, I traded nothing but dust. As I've stated many times previously.

Sorry I don't pa-TROLL these forums as frequently as you, so I don't read over 10000+ pages of gifs and stupid Chinese images.
I only post and read when I get a minute here and there, so I don't know your whole backstory.
Either way, you don't really add much content here, just unnecessary spam and the same message over and over.
No technical analysis, no insight, no trading ideas...Nothing like a real professional trader would add.

No, you did not invest in Microsoft, and Microsoft didn't invest in you.
Your pic shows that Microsoft is accepting dollars through a payment processor--that's not an investment.
Basic misunderstandings such as the one I've just cleared up are likely responsible for finance enthusiasts such as yourself "investing" in BTC

Microsoft is "invested" in Bitcoin for the long haul:
http://www.coindesk.com/bitpay-microsoft-aggressive-global-vision-bitcoin/"Microsoft has a long-term vision for bitcoin, BitPay and the blockchain. Starting with digital goods in the US is the logical first step, however, they want to expand to Europe and globally and add support for other products as part of that rollout."
Microsoft just entered Step 1, my dear friend NotLambChop, in Year 5 going Year 6 of Bitcoin.

http://www.coindesk.com/bitpay-microsoft-aggressive-global-vision-bitcoin/You don't understand how life works.
It costs Microsoft nothing to humor you Bitcoiners with rosy PR, and look--you've already paid them for doing it

I think it's the other way around. I'm not sure you understand how things or life works in general.
Why would a multi billion dollar conglomerate like Microsoft have to pander to such an insignificant currency as Bitcoin and such a small minority of users like us Bitcoiners?
So they're using a payment processor. So what? They immediately convert fiat, we know!

They're definitely not hurting or needy for these measly sales.
I'm pretty sure they're way smarter than you, and know a thing or two about tech and business, than NotLambChop.

Why would a multi billion dollar conglomerate like Microsoft have to pander to such an insignificant currency as Bitcoin and such a small minority of users like us Bitcoiners?
Because it costs them nearly nothing, far less than they hope to get from (admittedly) nearly-irrelevant contingent like you Bitcoiners.
So they're using a payment processor. So what? They immediately convert fiat, we know!

They're definitely not hurting or needy for these measly sales.

Large profits result from series of small profits. That's how money is made.
Now go play your new vidya.
So answer me this, NotLambChop. Why bother adding it as a payment? Apple, Amazon, and Google haven't done it yet.
Very curious of company as successful as their's to just add it. Adding Bitcoin won't make them any real profit, Why add it?
Think deeper, this is a Multi Billion dollar company, and please don't retort with "it costs them nothing".

Because the companies you've listed think Bitcoin is too embarrassing? What point are you trying to make here?

Very curious of company as successful as their's to just add it. Adding Bitcoin won't make them any real profit, Why add it?
Think deeper, this is a Multi Billion dollar company, and please don't retort with "it costs them nothing".

A rational agent should take profit, no matter how trivial, when no risk is involved. So yeah, it cost them nothing & they make money.
Not sure how this could be made any simpler.
Now run along & play your vidya.
Yup, just as I expected. Same song and dance answer "cost them nothing", not answering the question still.
Microsoft will probably make a couple million dollars only from adding Bitcoin as a payment option, yet they plan on rolling out to European and global territorities, which strategically costs more to implement than the incoming sales that they plan to receive. Why invest all this time, money, planning, and infrastructure that'll probably net Microsoft a loss?
I expected more from you, NotLambChop. Thought you'd actually answer with an actual rebuttal and not just lay down like a turd.

Sure. Keep telling yourself that everything is looking great and this is anything else than a useless pump and dump coin being raped by traders.
Cannot be raped if we never sell for a loss. If Bitcoin fails than we lose everything but we are willing to take that risk in completing this experiment, otherwise
being a dis-inflationary currency we will eventually see a reversal in 2016 at the latest.
By 2016 nobody is using this useless slow coin anymore. Tons of alt coins out there are better than Bitcoin. And seeing how Bitcoin adoption is greatly slowing down every day there will be no reason to use it anymore by the end 2015.
But go ahead and keep buying thinking we will go the moon. I'll be here to enjoy the show.
If adoption is greatly slowing down every day, why did NYSE, BBVA, and DoCoMo throw away $75 million at a Bitcoin based company in Coinbase?
Seems counter-intuitive for such prominent investors.

Maybe I'm not the brightest person on the planet, but I can recognise a disruptive revolutionary technology before everybody else when I see one

Yes I originally wanted to invest in Beanie Babies but wife said "you're better off with the invisible coins so I don't have to see them around"!
I bought some Beanies in any case but she doesn't know

I'm a renegade investor eheh

Me too! Me too! I'm a renegade and I bought a shit ton of Beanie Babies too:

That's me in my living room. These things really are priceless. Worth more than any Bitcoin.

21 is old news. they are already on the network, mining.
not mining.
Members of the bitcoin community speculated about a secret vehicle for Silicon Valley elites to develop high-powered equipment that could dominate bitcoin mining. Mr. Pauker’s comments about a consumer focus suggest that isn’t where the company has ended up.
The initial secrecy around 21 was “solely for pragmatic reasons – we didn’t have anything to say to the world,” – says co-founder Balaji Srinivasan, who is also a partner at Andreessen Horowitz. He compares 21’s work in building bitcoin products for the general public to the sequential development of 56-kilobit Internet modems, international fiber cables and wireless Internet towers, which all helped bring the Internet into people’s homes in the late 1990s.

The potential donors were quite rigorous requesting proof, and ultimately a few guys covered the entire costs and there's now a nice trail of photos and heart warming thank you posts and such

Oh yea, the pirate dog I believe. Wanted to believe that dude from Brazil, but with Lophie it was sorta instantaneous.

Yep.
And a criminal that scammed drug dealers out of $30+ millions (more than is currently sitting at the orderbooks in bids on all major exchanges combined) can dump whenever he feels like it. He's probably already doing it (and won't be finished for quite a while)
I don't buy it. The guy is going to dump $30 million on the exchanges and then what- kindly ask Coinbase/Bitstamp/Kraken for a Western Union? Heck, it's unlikely the exchanges would even let the guy get his BTC back out once they put it in. They aren't dumb, and the high-volume exchanges are known to ask "where did you get that money?" before giving it back.
No, this sounds like a group of professional whales, that sit around waiting for some media event of note, then they take advantage of it in concert to crash the market to mop up big-time.

That's what BTC-E is there for.
Wanna hear a joke?
"Do you know why BTC-E never gets hacked?
Because the hackers wouldn't know where to launder their funds next"

BTC-E isn't so loosely run. It might looks like it, because that's it's "special trademark feature" but they aren't idiots.
A) BTC-E has been hacked before.
B) They aren't going to launder $30 million in drug money when....
C) They could at minimum confiscate it themselves.
BTC-E has kept users funds before, I find it highly unlikely they would let someone move millions of illicit funds through the exchange in a 36 hour period. Maybe over many months, but not days. Their FIAT still sits in a real bank somewhere after all.
They can spread their dumps on various exchanges and that's it (and use various coin mixing services, pump&dump some shitcoins to leave no trace in the bitcoin blockchain and whatnot)
Are you saying that you think those hackers are not gonna get a penny out of their BTCs?
No, I think those hackers are going to get a shit ton of money out of their BTC's. I just don't think they are going to do it this, or the next week. I don't think they are ever going to use the exchanges for that money either. I think Evolution was a scam from the start, they came up with a scammers business plan, they worked on it, they collected the cash and they got out. I'm sure they planned for this and it does not involved "dumping on the exchanges". They are professional criminals who have financed their operation with criminal investment capital. They aren't stealing 100K BTC today for $30 million dollars. They are going to save that money till a)statute of limitations passes or b) it's worth $100 million, or $500 million or more and they will very slowly and calmly find a way to spend it. Or sell it off in bulk to some other criminal investor.
Running a dark market like Evolution is an enormously complicated, risky and dangerous endeavor. They people who aren't professional criminals, like DPR, get caught because the government simply has too many resources for non-professionals to get away with.
No, this Evolution money isn't hitting any exchange, anytime soon. And why would it? Why would these people, who just scammed people into letting them hold their money, give someone else all their money? They aren't stupid. They know most exchanges are risky-as-fuck. They aren't putting money that they earned by committing crimes worth life in prison into other exchanges run by criminals or idiots, or law abiding and AML checking accountants.
This is a a group of dumper whales that just wait for bad news (which always happens) seize upon the opportunity and move into action. We wouldn't really panic if the sale of all those bitcoin were for no particular reason, but link it with any media report and you've got a full-blown freakout.
Like I posted before, it's these jokers doing it together:

Absolutely, all you need to do is demonstrate your Haiku skills to the hat gallery or alternatively, create a short, rhyming poem with your name (ChuckBuck).

Upon final review, and according to the high custom, xhomerx10 may finalize the initiation with an appropriate hat based on his mood, your perceived personality, or if you're lucky he'll request an image from you for inspiration.
Your avatar suggests you like cats, you're in luck, the WO is like 70% feline friendly.

The cat went here and there
And the moon spun round like a top,
And the nearest kin of the moon,
The creeping cat, looked up.
Black Minnaloushe stared at the moon,
For, wander and wail as he would,
The pure cold light in the sky
Troubled his animal blood.
The cat, the moonlight and the blood

Is it enough to inspire inspiration?

Hope everyone likes it, especially
xhomerx10I really like the hat, so please help me

Food poisoning sucks, Vietnamese seafood is to be avoided for the foreseeable future.

What a pity about your meal

Where did you eat it? I have lived in Vietnam in recent years, their cuisine is really interesting

I even love their PHO - they write PHỞ in Vietnamese. It was really really delicious, have you eaten it? I have never had food poisoning since living there until now
Seeing chopped up dog corpses for sale on tables here is pretty freaky for a Westerner like me. Like, dogs cut in half or decapitated. There's a dog meat (thịt chó) restaurant not far from where I'm staying. Haven't tried it.
Obviously I'm in the north.
Oh yeah, I tried the foetal-chick-in-an-egg once.
I think my favorite is bún chả. The basket of aromatic greens on the side is fkn great.
As someone who has lived and worked in Vietnam for a long time, I am excited to read your comments about Vietnamese cuisine. Even though you guys are talking about bad food

As for dog meat, especially in the north, they regarded it as a specialty, it was truly disgusting

, but it became a cultural feature of the northern people. Many have condemned, but you cannot resist culture.
Many Vietnamese people love dogs, you know, but others consider it a dish. Here, they have dog thieves, who always catch other people's dogs for food, it becomes a business that the state cannot handle

.
As for the balut, I tried it, it's not too bad even though you will feel nauseous if you see the chick there. Just eat and don't think about the chicken

How can you write "bún chả"

I was really surprised that a visitor like you could write it

My dog along with many others went missing on independence day in April last year, went to all the restaurants, never saw him again.

Still love the freedom this country affords expats although some things are seriously disturbing seen through a westerners lens.
Condolences to you, I think it was stolen

Currently, more than half a month will go to their biggest festival, Tet. Do you have any travel plans here? I can recommend some delicious food that you can try, of course it is hygienic
Unlike you, the longer I live here, the more I like this country

This escape took place, but it was unsuccessful because Vietnam had tightened the border, they lined up with thousands of people and asked to cross the border, however, they were not allowed. Anyway, Vietnam is still doing its job well. I saw this news more than 7 days ago. About a thousand people wanted to cross the border but failed

Need some help, someone who knows how to quote a smaller image like BitcoinGirl.Club did? I feel I take up a lot of space with image quotes, it's bad

I have a Chinese friend who has a sister and she keeps staring at me but I am married 😂
Who cares if you're married or not? What she cares about is what you have there, because you are there

I see it in articles,

Is this a reliable source? I tracked it on
https://corona.kompa.ai/ and the number of people infected (113,809) and killed (4,010) is completely different from the number that you give

Now let's see what is a fake source
https://corona.kompa.ai/ is from the World Health Organization (WHO), what about your information?

Someone please tell me that it is not true

something like the global economic crisis, and bitcoin led the way down, then gold, crude oil, everything, ... where did the money flow go during this time

What the hell is going on

Corona is not the reason, certainly, it is just an excuse

Bitcoin can't even survive this storm, what the hell do we trust it in the future
Now it's like a piece of shit, damn Bitcoin

Calm your tits ChuckBuck
Yes, I still watched my money go down calmly till now

I see you've removed your hat and you're looking for Fiat.
This one's more suitable for you today.

No no, I didn't give up my hat, nor did I looking for fiat, don't get me wrong, I just read some news and found that everything was going down, I was watching my money die in bitcoin, quite shocked when I woke up

Not buying not selling... just HODLing...

Yes, it was the damn thing I did when it was 8k a few days ago, and look what we have right now

Sorry about this issue, I just didn't wear my hat for a while because I was in a trial signature campaign, I will bring it as soon as this campaign ends, it will take about 4 weeks (this is first week). Sorry if I let you down

I was just trying to be funny. I fully understand why people would rather make money Bitcoin than wear a silly hat.
No, nothing silly here, it's a great hat, I'm the one who wanted it, I asked you to do it for me and I like it. I just didn't take it for a short time. Recently, I had huge losses when trading and when bitcoin went down, I thought I should take some advertising money in my free time here, to offset

I felt so dirty when I had to, feel so relieved now!
Just some campaigns let you be free with avatars, I haven't had the chance to join a campaign like you yet

Anyway, don't talk about campaigns here, I just want to say that I want to wear my hat if I can

Guys, disease outbreak (Corona virus) is happening in most countries, please be careful of your health. Fortunately, I am working in Vietnam, only a few cases up to now, still safe to work.

But if I take my fiat and convert it to cash, I can use it as toilet paper. You can't do that with BTC.
I don't know what you think when you use the "convert" word here

If you convert fiat into cash, I can also exchange BTC for cash, what is the difference? Can BTC still be used as toilet paper in a different way? Just kidding

I think that's called
intrinsic value
No way, can't think of a better way to call it

So what is the intrinsic value of Bitcoin? Can I call the terrible volatility the intrinsic value to bitcoin?

A historic ~49% range in a single 40-minute candle.

I wonder how much time it takes for Bitcoin to become as stable as before

I'm sitting here and watching my account go down every day, outside there is a raging virus

Damn series day with my wrong decisions

No floor here really. For all assets, the panic selling, raising cash at all costs is only at the beginning.
Ignore the price.
I have a problem of not understanding here, while people are panicking to sell Bitcoin. I am looking to buy bitcoins on this forum and do not have any partners. Strange to be bored

I have lost 60% of the money till now

Anything to save it? Just hold? HOLDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

You did not prepare financially and psychologically for BTC prices to go down, which would be having the ability to buy moar in the case that BTC prices were to go down, which they did?
Yah, I didn't have any preparation for this, I was too apathetic because I thought that Corona wouldn't make too much impact. I am completely carefree

Quite sore
Dow is down 10%, but btc is holding 5K nicely.
It's been temporarily stable for now, but I don't know when the next drop will come. I am looking to buy some Bitcoin but it seems this is quite difficult, no one wants to sell Bitcoin on this forum

There are 182,700 confirmed cases worldwide affecting 162 countries with 7,171 deaths. (Numbers pilling up while making this post

)
Everything are getting worse, some anticipate that the peak of this outbreak will be around the next 2 weeks, I'm pretty worried because the country I'm living in country is getting more cases every day. The only thing that is safe is that I am living in an epidemic-free area, but not sure in the future

Surely hard to blame you when I hardly know too many of your circumstances without having to go through your whole post history or even any significant amount of your posting history.
I rarely share my Bitcoin issues on this forum. I just joined WO recently, you know it. Sharing is still not easy for me

I do see that you registered on the forum before me, so you are not really any kind of newbie, yet I also understand that personal circumstances and even view of the market can change in such a way in which your BTC investment strategy might not keep up... or you are not able to adapt your strategy in a way that adequately accounts for both market circumstances and your own individual circumstances.
It's not the first time I've made wrong decisions, I often believe in intuition more than analysis, LOL I understand this problem but it still dominates me. Just complaining a little, I still didn't feel it was bad

Don't you have access to local bitcoins in vietnam? Sometimes if you establish relationships with folks, then you can buy directly and in person.. the good old days of local bitcoins, that no longer really works in the USA...
Perhaps you do not know, Bitcoin trading has been banned in Vietnam. Although there are a few ways to buy Bitcoin in Vietnam, it is illegal and unsafe. Moreover, the price difference is quite high

Edit, I forgot to tell you a story

To date, there is no official vaccine to cure Covid-19. But here, a few fake guys took advantage of people's ignorance to make money by faking vaccines. They say it is the official vaccine although its main ingredient is antibiotics and supplements. It doesn't work, damn liars

I would hate to suggest that you should move based on bitcoin because that might not be practical, either.
No, I do not move based on Bitcoin, you can use Bitcoin wherever you are, as long as you have internet. I move based on the standard of living of a country, if you've ever been here, you'll find that this is a country that is worth living. Peace, friendly locals, reasonable commodity prices, everything is very cheap. Great cuisine (but not with street food, it's often worse because it's dirty). One thing in particular, they treat foreigner like us very well. I quite like life here

Regarding Bitcoin, they have just banned it recently. To talk about the cause, the Vietnamese lack of understanding of cryptocurrencies, so many scam projects offer
profit traps, when Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies emerge as a trend, people flock to invest in those fraud projects, because they see tremendous profits from it. If I remember correctly,
Bitcoinnect is a prime example. Numerous investors as well as ignorant people lost all their money when Bitcoinnect collapsed, the government noticed that and they issued a trade ban on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I used to be free to trade them, but now I don't, I have to sneak if I want, the penalty is quite high

And my focus is on staying safe. Got my surgical grade hand sanitizer. Food for 2 weeks if I get sick, etc.
Everyone should stay safe

You should have more than two weeks, the disease will continue for a longer period

Keep your butt in the house to avoid any danger

Hello everyone

I came back here after a short absence because the account was banned, but it's great that I'm still here and able to talk to you guys
I just got a little annoyed when I received the notification email but I couldn't reply to anything

It's fine now

Hope you all remain healthy from this damn epidemic

Looking a little bit at BTC and I see it's still good, growing again.
Speaking of viruses, I got an order a few days ago, the estimated shipping time is the end of April, the damn effect of the virus. It made me feel a headache

Happy to be back boys!

Yes, we are released together
Cheers
I was quite surprised when I was banned and realized I was in an unauthorized program

Maybe I should put it on my favorite list as well as my playlist to listen more, the music is nice for us to relax after work. Do any of you listen to music even at work? Sometimes I feel bothered, but sometimes I feel excited, maybe because of the mood, anyway, the music is great. That song too

They look so cool

All persons with 1million ruble + (approx 18k CAD) in their bank are to pay a 13% tax on the balance.
He goes on to assure the people that the government is taking measures to benefit all.
Not for all, it is for most of their people, except for the rich who are taxed on 13% of their property

Although it is good for the community, but I feel that it's unfair, LoL
In other news, I see the US FED will airdrop $1,200 to its citizens.
Money printer go Brrrrrr....
Is this....

Bulk money printing, will inflation happen?
