good morning guys, who see bitcoin hitting $1000+ this weekend ?

Not me too, however I hope for 850 on Bitstamp, which is my first selling level.

That said the Hodling that happened after last weekend, to bring us into a steady sideways movement, was breathtaking. Very inspirational Hodlers!
It rises slowly, but I'll hold until 850 at least...

looks like huobi is first to break out of the channel to the upside.
Seems that Europe does not share this enthusiasm... Bitstamp still 15 USD behind.

Sooo, it seems that the weekend ride is cancelled for now. Bitstamp peaked at 837, then slowly goes down. Still holding with sell orders starting from 850...

The hodlers are planning a 51% attack!
I've just sharpened my pencil, grabbed a blank sheet of paper and started to calculate the first hash!

I'm curious what if anything is going to happen once the 31st comes and nothing happens in China.
Even if nothing is going to happen, I expect some serious dumps one or more days before. People will go fiat just in case. Personally I'm going to hold + transfer some more fiat to the exchange for buying at 300

In the meantime we have another painfull approach to $850 on Bitstamp... I guess, this is not the time yet.

Some China news we haven't heard yet? Houbi moving.
Seems that after dancing around 840 (stamp) a direction has been choosen, and the direction is
down. Sold half of my BTC around 840, will see what is happening then...

Down with $8..
Blink once with your eyes and it could be back there.
Blinked twice. Now it is down by $17...

I'm done watching the charts. It's just ridiculous. I'll check back in a week.
Seems that you've failed in trading and now just release your frustration...

Personally not selling. I'm just too scared it might fuck me sideways as it did in the past.
I'm holding too. Do not believe in the big crash and once the price gets back to $840 I'm in plus again.

The weekend is anyone's guess - but an ATH is not in my wildest dreams right now.
Considering that Bitstamp just has dived under $800 (with another 400 BTC dump), it is rather unlikely...

seems we are not going back over 800 pretty much soon.
I agree. Everyone talks about "China uncertainity". I expect we will go down to $700, and maybe $600 at the end of month, then any message from China can trigger panic selling, so around the end of month some "mini crash" is well possible. Then we will recover, regardless of what exactly the Chinese government will decide. If they will go Russian way, recovery may be longer, but I doubt it. While Russian govt are just control freaks, Chinese establishment will try to see some opportunity for them.

FBI
I don't agree. I think that everyone panicked with the news of the FBI selling off the Silk Road coins. And the "panic" sell off was not even that impressive, really. Today people will realize that the price is not dropping that much and then buy back in. Thanks to all the press surrounding this Bitcoin got some "free" advertising. More people will decide to invest and so it will go up. Plus each day more and more businesses are signing up. Yesterday it was an NBA sports team. Today? Who knows. But it is looking good to me. I predict $1000 by next week.
We have no panic sell yet. There may be one at the end of month, when this awaited "China government decision" will be finally issued, so for example Chinese exchanges will be shut down (or allowed to continue, who knows). FBI thing... well, as said numerous times FBI will not just dump these bitcoins at gox... They will be sold "out of the market", at least not thrown directly into the market. Also when we compare these 29,000 BTC to Chinese part of a daily volume, well. I agree however that FBI event has very positive marketing effect, especially in the USA. Hovever I'm located in Europe, so my perspective differs.

a big divergence of exchanges signals a coming crash / dump ...
big = 20%+
The only diverging exchange is MtGox and indeed it can signal a coming crash
of it. Differencies between Bitstamp, BTC-e and Huobi are less than 1%.

An exponential log chart? is this the end of the world??
No, as the chart bases on MtGox, this "exponential correction" just accounts for fiat withdrawal troubles...

But you can withdraw JPY and PLZ without problem...
Don't know about yen, but for PLN it is not true anymore. Currently PLN withdrawal is as hard (or as easy, depends on point of view) as EUR one. So better than USD, but still a month is to be expected.

Thanks for that... whanted to open an account there...
I have a verified account on MtGox and an account in Polish bank. There was a special choice for PLN transfer in their withdrawal panel, but now it just only contains information that it does not work anymore and links to their new "Withdrawal Center" where one can define withdrawal account. I have defined my Polish bank account there, but after submitting two support tickets (they were even answered, but well...), it is still inactive. When it will be finally activated I plan to try a withdrawal of some small amount.

I took a risk and bought at $770 on Bitstamp using all my remaining fiat. Looks like I bought the dip

Not bad

. Unfortunately I was not so clever and bought earlier at 813, so well, now holding is my only tactic.

This time trading API is down too. I'm getting "503 Service Unavailable". Also BitcoinWisdom shows the last transaction at 08:02 UTC.

bitstamp is back on line, but ..
how come transactions kept going aver there during the maintenance shutdown ?
They were not going, API was returning 503 error. Maybe API shutdown period and webpage shutdown period were not perfectly synced, so for some short time trading through API was possible, with the webpage still being down.
