I see a dump to 375 followed by a quick recover.

For a moment I thought was game over and and were on top, but this is more solid than I thought
That was close.. thought I lost a lot more. Thanks for a quick recovery or I would be in major trouble with the wife playing with the kids college funds and so close Christmas. Daddy would have to go find a friends house to sleep at tonight if it stayed at $380.

ZOMG! "European Union to ban bitcoin for being currency of terrists!"

And all we got was this measly $4 discount? Get it together, bears.

Its a joke, IS use toyota and eu dont ban it
Cause they are cheap imports and EU loves to toss money away, just look at Greece. No difference in when they started after they got their bailout.
EU talking about banning bitcoin is them talking out of their rear ends. Why ban something that you don't know anything about? Is it because of fear and the mass media frenzy that it has caused regarding it in recent events Roll Eyes

It has been confirmed, with all the hype in the news and the recent European sanctions going on it is that 24~hour go-time.
More and more it is looking bleak for bitcoin to make a positive stride in the right direction in people's eyes these days.

I doubt that terrorists have much use for Dogecoin. A cup of coffee costs like 30,000 coins so you can imagine the number of zeros in meaningful transactions. It just means ridiculously clumsy record-keeping and prone to errors of course. 375,000,000 coins for a truck? Nah.
They can't count that high either. Miss a zero and they have already screwed up their bank roll for that brand new tank  Cheesy
Just unless they have a programmer in their leagues that does make a terrorist coin for them. Then there will be trouble.

Hope for a fast drop, because this smells like a slow bleed.
During these slow bleeds, the majority is frozen and unable to act until it's too late. That's why one should fear slow bleeds and welcome fast drops.

The price only went up $32 (10%), almost a rounding error.  It didn't double in price like last time and needs some kind of titanic crash to come to fix the market.

The fact that the hash rate increased 37% in something like 1 week is hugely bullish for keeping price up.

NO PANIC ON TITANIC!

Its already at the bottom. Now the question is who and when gone put the funds to bring it up.
r0ach says he's got it covered.

With 3 days left more than likely not even with the slight pump we have seen in the last 12 hours. It has increase and decreased at almost at the same time. So no, not this month maybe in the next two months falling into the new year.

$410 by next Wednesday. OMG, is that o-ring thingy leaking?

We keep breaking my psychological barrier again and again. There's a small chance I was a bit optimistic Sad
That barrier at 360 was tough one but if that holds then the way is paved in gold from here on in.
$400 should be the next hurdle to cross but I see why you say $410 because we have seen it almost get passed $500 to just touch and then fall face first in mere seconds to $495.

It is happening already and I thought it would be soon the trading day for it to go down. Was $357 last I checked around ten minutes ago thought it broke 360 barely two hours ago. Up to $366 and down to almost $10 is not very promising end of the month tally.

Yes, we are crashing uncontrollably. Except...we aren't.

Zoom out a little bit on your charts and stop trying to be cute with little moves. Look at the pattern, not the pattern within the pattern, within the pattern.
These little movements make me quiver because it makes my intuition say "buy or sell".
Just that little up tick in the price makes the inner wolf in me want to howl at the moon and want to sell.

If Black Friday was responsible for the "sub-rally" of the last 2-3 days, perhaps it is because of this offer from PrimeDice?
Quote
Deposit at least 1 BTC and receive 1 BTC for FREE
How could this be for real?  Could they be planning an exit scam?
It's a scam site, not the real primedice.
Bitcoinblackfriday.info is trying to scam people by posting links to fake sites with incredible offers. The links look almost like the real versions, but they have slight differences. There are scam site links mixed together with legit site links to make the cam ones harder to spot.

Theymos has posted a warning about the bitcoinblackfriday.info scam in one of the bitcointalk advertising banners.

I didn't follow their announcements etc. so I don't know much about them. But just by looking at 5 of their top 8 ads:
deals.bitcoinblackfriday.info/offer/primedice-deposit-at-least-1-btc-and-receive-1-btc-for-free/
links to primedice.io instead of https://primedice.com

deals.bitcoinblackfriday.info/offer/trezor-the-hardware-bitcoin-wallet/
links to buy-trezor.com instead of http://buytrezor.com

deals.bitcoinblackfriday.info/offer/spondoolies-tech-sp50/
links to sqondoolies-tech.com instead of http://www.spondoolies-tech.com

deals.bitcoinblackfriday.info/offer/gyft-25-discount-for-all-gift-cards/

I haven't heard Cyber Monday before. Does it happen every Monday or specially for this Monday? Is it related to Black Friday?
It is the Monday following Black Friday. It started a few years ago when tech sellers noticed people rather shop online than stand out in the cold after thanksgiving in the states. They also saw that they were missing out cashing in on the sales that they could be offering online to coincide with that day.

They banned posting addresses for giveaways, which forces people to either link to a giveaway on another forum, or request people pm addresses to them. Nevertheless I thought there might have been a few giveaways on Christmas eve. Perhaps there might be a few on New Years eve.

That's why I wasn't seeing any freebies (not free beers hah!) this year as I was waiting for them. Now I know not to expect any this time around.
I doubt there will be any New year's eve either if they put this policy in place.

Has anybody thought that price is rising because deposits to exchanges can't come through the 45k+ pending txs mempool?
Yes I was just thinking the same thing.  Undecided

I have $394 worth of bitcoin stuck in the blockchain sent to me since last night and has been over 16 hours without a confirmation yet. Embarrassed
It must be part of that or else I don't know what else it could be. Roll Eyes

$694 again? I think it will drop to $650 as someone has predicted earlier yesterday when this whole drop started 24 hours ago.
This is looking certain now.

doesnt matter imo who wins, after the election price will go steep

Maybe I missed the news. Does Bitcoin get a new CEO?

Or are you referring to this American play? Meh.
If you believe that a presidental election won't make a dent in the price of bitcoin you are in a dreamland of bitcoin as the only currency in the world and the "btc is all there is" type people's eyes only.

The US elections should be pretty irrelevant to what BTC does: The policies are typically unaffected by the puppets elected, no matter what they've promised.

Please spare us your religious views.
Religion has no say in bitcoin (even if you are masking it with humor  Undecided Trumpville is going good & strong according to Michael Moore even though they are blind to what is currently going on in the world).

But some are strong devotees of bitcoin so you might say it has a religious like cult following. Wink

this shit doesnt belong here.

This thread has always been a bit off-topic.

If politics is allowed, I guess sports and religion should be too.

What effect do you think the Cubs' WS victory will have on Bitcoin?

Or had? Maybe that was the real reason for Thursday's dip.

Other posters say Trump would rise Bitcoin. Which is it???

Also apparently every politician is Hitler. I've heard all of them called Hitler, including Trump, Obama and Bernie Sanders. Who is the real Hitler? Which one will gas 6,000,000 people?

If Adolf Hitler himself was elected, would Bitcoin rise or fall?
If that many people were killed due to an election then bitcoin would not be in existence. Their would be utter anarchy and people would be fighting for their lives to scape up what fiat that they can. Get real!
Quit screwing around son!

Taking longer than expected to get above 800. Thought we'd be at 790 now atleast
It will no doubt go above $800 sometime soon with the holiday shopping spree two fold just around the corner. It is near $779 if it didn't pass that point already.

Heard coinbase got hacked?

I knew there was something going on yesterday at approximately 16 hours ago.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1739451.msg17398547#msg17398547

But then some mod moved it to "Web wallets" when I originally posted it as a question in technical support. Then it would of been known before this price drop had happened.

Still trying to get my head around everything that happened.
Most of it makes sense, to the degree that the movements have all fit within the medium- and long-term trends.
The one remaining question I have is - what's up with Huobi and BTCChina? OKCoin is up, and US exchanges are at parity with its price.

I took a stab at putting the pieces together to come up with a go-forward plan.
You know what they say - plans are worthless, planning is priceless.

So the ATH was reached? The previous one was $1163 correct?
So it did reach $1166 at some point yesterday?
I must of missed it by a millisecond. Cheesy
