In fact, I wonder who is buying in China right now. Some gambling addicted grandma who doesn't read the interwebs?
Wall street has entered the game, it's so obvious it's almost official.

i meant that chinese people in china can still speculate the shit out from bitcoin and that is what has been helped a lot in this recent rise from $125

Just wondering: How many % of the chinese people are aware of bitcoin? How many hold them?
Is it still pretty much underground or full mainstream?

Picked up a large amount of BTC that would otherwise have hit the market, at the CNY rate.
Its not very difficult to bring large amounts of USD into China on a private plane. I have a close relationship with my A&P.
Man, this reminds me of that one time in high school when I smuggled Coca Cola into the cafeteria.
What an awesome day.

Can someone explain to me what is happening right now?
Here are a few reasons I can think of myself:
1. Someone thinks the price will fall further.
2. Someone needs cash / cashes out.
3. Someone wants the price to go down. Why?

Why has the FBI lost faith in the value of bitcoin? Perhaps they have acquired non-public info about price manipulation and plan on taking down some of the exchanges....
*edit*
"lost" implies the FBI did consider it valuable at some point. Again, what caused them to lose faith.... interesting...
Keep trying...

They will NOT sell them on exchanges EVER.
If anyone wants to make a WAGER on this fact, lets set up escrow. Name the amount up to 50 BTC.

Should I ask Coinbull to be the escrow?

There is a certain degree of randomness to this calculation because it is based on a rolling average of the past X blocks,
This could also be the reason it peaked to 42 % in the first place.

Wow, 3 computers. You still haven't figured out that the amount of computers means nothing?

what if bears are bearish for no particular reason

What if the bears are only
pretending to be bearish, scaring people to sell, so they can buy in cheaper as they are really all bulls!
http://www.imdb.com/character/ch0000784/ IMDb > Bear Boy (Character) Quotes:
From Matrix (1999)
Bear boy: Do not try and understand the bear. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth.
Neo: What truth?
Bear boy: There is no bear.
Neo: There is no bear?
Bear boy: Then you'll see, that it is not the bear that understands, it is only yourself.

Ahh, found one of them - but this one I was looking for was annotated with actual prices and stuff. I'll keep trawling the pages for a while
Here is an obscenely bullish desktop wallpaper (for usage as pr0n substitute), concentrating at this multiple times a day for 2 minutes each time will release endorphins and convert every bear into a bull after long enough exposure. I have made it 1024*768 for old laptops, I can make higher resolutions too.

This chart actually makes me bearish.
Watching the sun makes you bearish so it's not big deal

Honestly, stop being butthurt about doge. There is a very positive effect about the publicity: People start to understand digital currency.

Could you use one address for more than one crypto currency? If you have a donation address, one could send either bitcoin or dogecoin to it, for example. Just make sure you don't send your doge to a bitcoin address or vice versa.

Post 5415235 (copy this link) (by optimi) (scraped on 2020-04-04_Sat_12.21h):
I would really like to meet this person who goes "Hey! Look! People who invested in bitcoin lost money because the exchange service turned out to be fraudulent. Wife, give me my wallet, I'll better transfer some money to a bitcoin exchange quickly to buy those bitcoins"
It's not that easy, I doubt the initial rise if it happens soon will be from new people, you don't read about exchange taking hundreds of millions of users money and sending money to another exchange same day.
If we go up now, it's money from old bitcoiners, noobs might join later if it goes up but them starting it at this moment - I doubt it.
I'm not talking about people who heard about it for the first time. I'm talking about people who heard about it many times.
Bitcoins are not understood easily. Most investors heard about it years before they decided to be part of it.
And now, due to the publicity, some people read that one clarifying post in an unrelated reddit subforum (aww/cmv/funny e.g.) or watched an Antonopoulus video that answered that one misconception they had about btc.
They don't care about Mt.Gox. They care about being part of it for different reasons.
Edit: $ 500 is not that much to risk if the potential is this huge. Europe, the States, China - 12 mio coins is obviously not enough for everybody. It's not even enough for 1 % of the people who wouldn't really care about losing $ 500. So if one out of 1000 wealthy people "gets it" due to the publicity we will see an effect.

Post 5415527 (copy this link) (by optimi) (scraped on 2020-04-04_Sat_12.21h):
I really, really doubt that.
Reading that 400m of investor money was stolen (again, read) from the "biggest[or "one of the biggest"]" exchanges is 100% bad.
Go read any news article and check the comments on it. "I knew it was a scam" "Get rich quick fail" basically this re-assured everyone bitcoin was a scam.
Nope, 99 % don't change their negative view. 1 % does due to the publicity.
At this time publicity is good for btc. It doesn't matter if it's good or bad publicity until everybody has understood btc enitrely.
Show me 1 person that "really" understands that btc is a protocol and I show you 1000 that don't.

Reading that 400m of investor money
Some people (very few indeed) will read this and say: "Man, I'm smart enough, I want to understand btc."
And they will find out that there are:
1. Speculators
2. Investors
3. Smart investors that keep their private keys in a safer place than an exchange
Nr. 3 didn't lose any btc.
And some people will get it.

resignation begins when the price have been quite stable and didnt CCMF for an extended period (all things being relative). Then, people start cash out little by little (because they obviously cant wait anymore or need money to buy sushis), and as a "snowball effect", the price go lower and lower.. eventually, it drops even more rapidly as people reaction to such a downtrend would be selling more and more... hence, panic sell

So, you're saying Wall Street is preparing its entry?
