I just sold whatever i had left. It's clear, Bitcoin is dead.
It failed. This year was make or brake. It broke. People lost interest. Everyone is getting out.

You have to be delusional to think the price will go up suddenly again.
Face it, this is the 5th or 6th year already. This is the time where it was supposed to happen and it simply failed.

People aren't gonna be suddenly interested again in 2 months again.
It's over. There is one way this will go and it isn't up.

Sure feels like we're hitting bottom when I read posts like this.  A good thing too, because I was getting worried.

So I've been away since yesterday... Was there a triggering event to this drop, or no? Some news or rumor maybe?

nothing I'm aware of.

200 day MA was broken. technical configurations being exploited by people wanting a lower price, I guess.

My thoughts as well.  I hope we are right.

Appears to be a lot of short covering going on at the moment on bitfinex.

au contraire. closed half mil of longs on some clueless bastards.

I'm not going to say you're full of shit.  I'll just say the data would be strong evidence indicating you are.

this data?

...

does this make you full of shit?

The data clearly shows the swaps were purchased and then sold in a short period of time.  During this period of time (you left out the exact time details) the price appears to have stopped it's rise and even fell about 2%, along with fees.  I'd say you provided evidence of a very short term hedge for a deal that was completed.  If you are going to stick to this story that you are the one who made the trade, at the very least it shows you just lost about $10,000.  Nice one.  With that, I will stop feeding the trolls and we can let the readers of this thread decide who is indeed full of shit.

..or you can just do the sniff test as to whether or not a guy with a gambling ad in his signature would control half a million dollars.

We have smashed through every resistance point so far with this rally.  Next ones being at $283, $294, & $305.  If we get above $305, things could get exciting.

Just bitfinex clearing out the overleveraged bullish speculators.  Nothing to see here.  Let the rise continue.

Haha to all suckers that bought my 500$ coins.

You were wrong then criticizing people who sold at $850, and you are wrong now criticizing people who buy at $500.

The overwhelming bullishness in the current market is concerning.

The mempool seems to be clearing finally. Most everyone’s coins should be available on exchanges now. Perhaps a sign the near term pain is over?

I'm amazed how many people still haven't figured out the 4-year cycle and hang on the daily price movements...  I guess there's some truth to what they say, math is hard.

Og, I’d be interested to get your prediction of a top for the next parabolic pump & an estimated date.

I think $100,000 plus in Q4 2021.

When I do the math, I get a peak of $200,000 in November/December of 2021.  I have gone on record as predicting a high of $222,222 prior to 2/22/2022, but that's a bit tongue in cheek.

I think your estimate is a good one.

My retirement plan is based on the 4 year cycle.

Atleast you can sell at the high range i guess (21/22 25/26 29/30) and the option to buy back some corns later on. (23/24 26/27 31/32).

For the record, I think the 4-year cycle will become less and less relevant moving forward as Bitcoin continues to evolve from a p2p payment network to an asset mainly used by Wall Street investment funds to collect management fees.
