Yesterday I was expecting a dip coming sooner or later, chose to stay fiat instead of short.
Should have followed my forecast and stayed fiat all the day long instead of playing the whales's game

So it looks like people are selling alts for btc to get the "free BCC" when the fork occurs. My guess is they will dump their new bcc asap and buy back their original Alts. Not a bad strategy except for the viabtc stage and the fact that i expect all Alts to rise pretty fast as these speculators come back.
If everyone is buying bitcoin to dump bcc, where is the value in bcc coming from?
That's why I don't like current market.

How to lose 200$ :
1) Buy BCH on high-volatility Bitfinex with a "325$" Market Order. BCH are bought at 331.
2) Being stunned by the order not doing what you wanted it to be and look at price slowly failing to ~312$ and wondering what went wrong. (Tip of the day, don't use market orders on very high volatility markets like you would usually.)
3) Miss a few opportunities to halve the losses with the few ~320$ bumps.
4) Stop sell at ~311. (This could actually have been a not so bad idea.)
A few minutes later, it happens that dip was just under ~311 wall. Was ready for that but too much burnt to do anything.
I look at price being ~305 and getting momentum upwards, thinking that it's a good time to buy. Some minutes later, I'm typing this post and price went just over ~331
Is that me being really unable to stay synced with the market or just doing dumb/noob mistakes over and over ?
ps : Sorry for the off-topic, just needed to rant ~~
Oh and market is going downward trend again, I didn't miss it either and didn't act on it either.

Alright, I'm getting bearish now.
Let's all remind ourselves of the price on January 1st: about $970. So the price has multiplied by about 3.5 since the start of the year, and $1000 was pretty much the ATH before.
I know there's SegWit and everything but this price is ridiculous. I've been buying a lot of stuff with it now. It's not like some casual investors on the sidelines are shoving up the price by hundreds of dollars in a matter of hours.
Better that than looking at (and betting on) price increasing while staying in USD like me

Where have you placed the stop loss?
I adjust it based on market movement. Since we've made $3880, SL is now at $4201.
If price goes above $4100 again, based on market movement I suggest you adjust it at low $5000's.
I covered at $3840. Re-shorting this pop here. I don't hold my trades very long.
You must be crazy to short this market. I have seen countless of people blow up their accounts.
Shorting on margin is suicide, he is probably playing with a few hundred or thousand and will panic buy back at a loss of btc.

Nothing more and whoever went massively long at that point (JP Morgan) knew exactly what they were doing.
Only thing that makes me feel better about missing this bottom is that I wouldn't have had (didn't had) this technical analysis and would have ended buying like 1/8 of what my margin balance would have allowed me. 1/8 profit is like 0 profit when you compare it to 8/8 or even 4/8 profit...
