I really enjoy myself seeing LTC die.
What a wonderful day it is.
Glad I bought some panic coins yesterday as well.

How is LTC dying?

In the last rally from $270 to $4xx, I bought around $300. Once the direction has been chosen (in this case, we penetrate $230.), a trader should forget all past and try to follow the right direction.

We still have plenty of upward potential, if the direction has been set.

And the bottom yesterday may be THE bottom. Don't forget this point.

Maybe but were still sideways, and there is also panic sells going on...

We should have some bulls feb-march riding it up

Our exchanges are run by amateurs and criminals and they are the biggest bottleneck in Bitcoin's valuation.

I agree, Bitcoin price in an open and transparent market should be at double or single digits by now.

bullshiat .. drug dealers selling drugs using bitcoin are dumbasses looking to get themselves and their clients busted.

any drug dealer stupid enough to use something that records every transaction in a ledger that is completely traceable deserves to be busted.

fiat cash is truly anonymous because there is no ledger and much more difficult to be traced.

at the end of the silk road trials we will learn that bitcoin has an ability to bust criminals and terrorists .

There you go, US $ IS THE CURRENCY MOST WIDELY USE FOR TRADING GUNS AND DRUGS

Look at it relatively, the percentage of US users using it for illegal purposes is (was) much lower than bitcoin's percentage of the same thing. Now of course this has changed slightly with the collapse of the silk road.

Until BTC reaches a decent market cap you cannot compare it in transactions with the US$ AT ALL

What sort of estimate are we looking at for when the next halving happens price wise?

I know there are many things to factor in but say if the halving was now at 230 USD what price would we then be looking at?

Rough estimate?

I'd bet we won't have to wait until the next halving to see prices over $1000. Chart addicts point to next April/May. But I guess about 700-1000 range would be a bearish-bullish prediction with the current data.

No we wont, all is in the right track, Feb-March will be good months, second bottom touch will be epic with the new exchanges

Greece has to hit the big red RESET button because all the rest are pussies and don't have the balls to call an end to that which is inevitable anyway, and only made worse by delaying. Keynesian economics is fundamentally broken, that much is known, the long run has arrived, for the love of Zeus, hit the button already, let the chips fall where they may.

Keynesian economics implies government spending at the base of the economy, not making debts.  The spending can be financed by taxes, even inflation tax.  Borrowing from banks and later bailing them out are the opposite of Keynesian policies.  It is usually neocon/monetarist governments who build up unpayable national debts, hold the bank profits to be more sacred than salaries and pensions, and make banks richer by imposing "austerity" on the rest of the population.

Unfortunately we do not follow keynesian principles. National debts are in fact, unpayable, and will still be

Banks need to redefine financial business methods, meanwhile they need to be rescued since it can be the fall of the sector

.618 fib would make sense, IF we weren't headed to 32,000$, no time to waste, fuck these "pull backs"  Cool

jokes aside, i'm really hoping we can steam pass 300 b4 some bear whale takes a massive dump

Bears seem to be quite dissapointed since the last low of around 160$, pullback was awesome, and if you look at the volume, quite impressive

Bitcoin isn't Gold, Steel or Cement. In theory an ETF (or similar) shouldn't be necessary. I understand that a lot of investors like to work that way, but it's kind of odd when they just as well could open an account on Coinbase and trensfer it to a Trezor.
institutional investors dont or rather cant do that.

In terms of safety, investing in bitcoin (remotely) by buying GBTC shares does not seem to be much safer than buying and keeping (a bit more directly) in a Coinbase wallet.

As for institutional investors: recall that Fortress Investment (a multibillion financial outfit, not to be confused with TradeFortress) bought some number of bitcoins directly in 2013.  Bitcoin was the only red stain in their 2014 quarterly reports.  Fortress quicky got rid of their bitcoins, swapping them for equity in the Pantera subsidiary that runs the PBP bitcoin fund. (Note: not shares of the fund, but shares of the managing company).

This example shows that some big institutional investors could invest in raw bitcoins, but currently don't want to, presumably due to its high risk and unpredictable future.  These same reasons should prevent them from buying GBTC or COIN shares, since their financial risk cannot be better than bitcoin's.

Thats actually an interesting point of view

Its not that they dont buy BTC directly, they do, but the environment is not safe enough for them yet

News keep kikin and looks good regulationswise

price back to 270 Huh

this btc price really remind me of p2pool hashrate.  keep bouncing up and down

Were simply retracing to the .618 fib as I said yesterday

This really needed to retrace

And another big push back to 267 on the way. Although buys are starting to creep up a bit.

Pullback target is around 257, expecting further pumps to go after 315 top

Levels to watch:

255$ around .618 fib, also support point in the rising wedge

315$ possible double top and trend confirmation

Drop to $250? Anyone?

We still need to touch that 315 top again to confirm downtrend

Dont thing were going down, in any case it would be the 255 area
