Could we now please go sub 200 to prepare two-digit prices?

2 digit prices are such a selfish request.
It's almost a one way street, literally nobody will think bitcoin is a good investment if the bubble collapses at a lower rate than when it started, after a full year of VC's and overall pretty good news.
If it does happen though I think I'll double down my investment, but I certainly hope we don't, I'm tired of these smug bears shitting up this thread with their doom and gloom circle jerking.
To be honest: Yeah it's selfish. But i've been sticking to it since May 2011, when 2 digit prices where invented for Bitcoin

What surprises will we see today?
"We need to go down first before we can go up".
This is what i've been told since 1200 so i guess today we magically go up. Can't you see all these new people just dying to get in at these prices?
And this is what i've been reading from you, since 1200...

Did you mean "fictional reserves"?
If you don't hold the keys then yes, fictional, fractional, make-believe, whatever, they're not coins, they're just numbers. All these coins dumped in the last few days with no significant sign on days destroyed or transaction volume... some of them are nothing more than numbers and folks will only know which when (not if, when) there's another Goxing. Move to exchanges that operate transparently if you don't want it to be you getting Goxed.
So for which exchange you are working exactly (thats what i'm asuming...)? Which allows me to hold the PrivateKey to the coins while i still can place orders on the market and prevents me from doing silly thinks like "moving the coins in the moment the order fullfills"?

I see some stability at 224. Just saying!
it is a lie.
Sometimes the price is pumped to 225 and dumped to 223.
So we still in the dump and pump game
So... You think that every stock is also a pump and dump scheme?
Apple's stock sometimes pumped to 117 and then dumped to 115. So apple is still in the dump and pump game?

You seem to be resistant to irony...

no...pump on 9th....stagnation...failed pump yesterday...but today it's a nice pump...if you dont look at the volume...rsi says SELL btw
RSI said SELL yesterday, before two, three, four days.

no liquidity on that thing

One thing I must admit, their charts are cute. "Mohawk" chart style?
Bitcoin.de isn't working like the other exchanges. There isn't a trading engine which tries to resolve your order the best way possible. Two individuals agree with each other on a price and a btc-amount. The seller deposits his BTC at bitcoine.de. Then the real money travels from one bank account to the other. After that, both mark the trade as successfull, bitcoin.de takes their fee from the BTCs of the seller and transfers the rest to the buyer.
This way, you could always trade a btc for 10000€ with a friend and fake some spikes, while Bitcoin.de is happy about the fees for this no-op order you both don't really have to transfer the money.

00000000000000000b63fd2b074637a7252d9d456968d9d0e747f279dd8bc131
What does this number represent?
Hash of the latest block?
yes, but more importantly it represents the result of petahashes of computing power working for ~10mins to find an extremely difficult number (look at all those zeros!) that can not be reproduced, faked or counterfeited ... it is tangible, quantifiable, easily verified proof of very hard work.
Here is an even nicer number:
000000000000000000000000000000000dffb334bffcaaff3333fffffffffffffffffff
You say that a couple thousand dollars of electricity were used to find your number? How stupid. I found mine by just typing hex digits at random. Yet it is a hash of some string too, like yours. So, explain again, why is your number "wealth", as much wealth as a laptop or a good bike? Why isn't mine "wealth", too?
The challenge isn't to create a hash with leading numbers. That's easy as you proven. The challenge is, to find some random data that combined with given data (the actual transactions) and passed into a defined hashing algorythm will return this kind of hexdecimal number with the required amount of leading zeros.

That's not something, that's easy to do.

it may drop to 255-265 then rises to ath... everything is possible
if 245 will be breached it opens up a more bearish perspective. if it holds. it confirms the current uptrend.
Why? Because ~245 was the resistenace back around sep 8th?

just wondering if you would set a sell order on what price drop should you activate it?
I was thinking to sell when it drops more then 30USD and buy back at somewhat the same?
Mine is set at $40 with a $80 profit already for each coin. Might even extend the threshold larger if the price surpasses $350 in most exchanges. Not being greedy at all, but it's tempting you know?

I'm new to the selling game but in order to set such an order i would have to do a trailing stop sell @30US am i right?

Depends on the User-Interface.

You want to follow the top price with 30USD distance.
Some interfaces allow you to enter just this. Others want the "starting" price from you. So you must calculate yourself "currentprice - 30" = starting price.

If you mess it up, you will follow the top price with 300usd distance

BTC this is bad of course. The last pump was glorious indeed, but it still is a pump, not a real slow progression in price caused by an increased demand. Not at all! Chinese miners exploited the lack of sell walls in Saturday to pump it to 3K hoping the traders will continue the rise to 4K and then they will sell everything down to 2K again. This time I will cash out and wait until the end of the storm.

Doesn't matter. The Cloudflare CEO guy's point was clear, that there is already a monopoly on the internet where all it takes is a couple of corporations - let's say ISP providers such as Comcast and AT&T - to blacklist something and it's gone if the traffic is not completely obfuscated. You can't blacklist gold and silver from existing, but the internet is already a corporate and/or government monopoly so it's not hard to do with anything here.
Without the govt even outlawing something, corporations can destroy it just as easy. Yea yea, you can then log onto a Somalian bitcoin exchange via proxy after all 1st world mining and exchanges are shut down, but nobody even accepts bitcoin in native form. The only places that accept bitcoin do so with Bitpay and immediately convert to fiat. Remove the ability to convert to fiat and bitcoin is useless. It's current existence is a centralized currency that's a derivative of another currency, while only gold and silver are actually money.
The only reason the government allows this nonsense to exist for now is to try and acclimate the goyim into the de-cashing of society and integration into a digital only slave currency control grid. That and to try and prevent people from buying gold and silver because the market is stretched too thin and they're running out of metals to deliver which would blow up their ponzi.
I'm sorry, but you got this thing wrong. You cannot easily shutdown Bitcoin without taking down the whole Internet. When the big ISP block the default Bitcoin-Port (8333) we simply switch to something they can't block like Port 80 (HTTP) or 443 (HTTPS). They can't take down these Ports, without taking down the entire WorldWideWeb. Bitcoin uses a mesh-approach. You only need one Bitcoin-Node as a gateway and you can reach the whole Bitcoin Network.
It only gets troublesome when they start to depp-packet-inspect the traffic and filter on protocol level. But then we already live like China behind a great firewall and got other problems to deal with.

I'm sorry, but you got this thing wrong. You cannot easily shutdown Bitcoin without taking down the whole Internet.
Yea right, even if you change the ports, you're not using randomized ports, and even if so, the ISPs can still detect who is running bitcoin nodes or other activity on their network and just say "sorry, we're turning off your connection because we do not support people laundering money with bitcoin", or whatever other excuse they want to make. The corporations would even run their own nodes as a honeypot to sniff people out. It's mostly a stupid argument since governments are far more likely to eradicate bitcoin through legislation than by pseudo-govt entities like Google, Comcast, or AT&T doing it under a corporate umbrella, but still, corporations can put a big dent into bitcoin viability if they want.
Well, I for one do appreciate that you are just trying to "save us all" lol
The fact that a guy was essentially banned from the entire internet (the daily stormer - the #2320 most popular website in America) and prevented from running a website or practicing free speech (because jews don't want the goyim to know what they're doing like destroying 1st world white nations by flooding them with rapefugees on purpose) while not actually breaking any law is kind of an Orwellian precedent whether you like the site or not.
Daily Stormer - #2320 in popularity
Infowars.com - #828
MSNBC - #529
As you can see, the zionist propaganda outlets like CNN, MSNBC, etc, are starting to get worried their propaganda is collapsing and no longer fools people.
Free speech in the US is kind of weird (in my personal opinion). I live in germany. We have free speech too, it's simply part of our human rights. But we also have another very important rule: Your human rights end there, where you intersect the human rights of somebody else. Which to me is a really reasonable limitation.
With this mindset, i totaly understand to take down the daily stormer. Because harrassing a casualty doesn't meet my interpretation of "free speech".
But the CloudFlare CEO himself points out, that he shouldn't be the person to decide that. In a democracy you got division of powers. And this division seems to be missing so far.
One can deem the CEO for doing that. But i think more important is to think of a way on how to agree on what to remove and what not. Even though germany and the us share the same "western mindset" the decision on this case would be diffrent. And now start to think to find agreements with the whole world on these kind of things. We are all fine with gay content on the internet. But saudi arabia isn't. Where do we start to take compromises, where to we start to stand for our democratical achievements? As always: It's complicated, but still not the end of the world.

// But let's head back to topic here.

I'm sorry to say it but you don't have free speech in Germany. If a refugee rapes a German girl journalists, newspapers, tv stations are not allowed to report such news. If they do so, they'll immediately be sent to jail for spreading religious and racial hatred.
Well, if that is what you believe in what is happening here, than i can tell you, you are wrong. But you are free to believe it anyway.

Like always, this is leading nowhere.

For the middle finger no one really cares as long as you don't show it to a policemen. But even then, the worst thing to happen is you paying 50€ for being rude to a policemen instead of beaing instantly executed for not following his orders.

And why the nazi salute is banned, may or may not be arguable (i think it's not). But still you can use it (and all other banned nazi symbols) as long as it art. So movies, theaters, etc. are still allowed to show Nazi-Flags and wear SS-Uniforms.

I cannot find a simple explanation quickly, but I understand that, first of all, Segwit is compatible with the old chain. So Segwit can work with ordinary blocks and new types of blocks (containing more information that an ordinary block). I understand that in essence, a block - think of it as a box - is made more empty so that more transactions fit into it, by cutting off a signature part that in the ordinary block takes about 50% of all space. Such modified block can contain more transactions and thus would lead to a higher tx/s limit.
I have not found an easier explanation than this article:
https://segwit.org/understanding-segregated-witness-905cc712c692Questions I still have is whether Bitcoin integrity is harmed by cutting off a signature part of a block and how the new type of (Segwit) blocks and ordinary blocks (Core) co-exist. The comments under the article also pose that question (without answers for now).
Thanks, that's all correct (and known to me). But still the box (as you call it) is limited to 1MB equal to 1024KB. So this block is ~8KB to big.
Or is it just a number formatting issues (powers of 10 vs. powers of 2?).
After looking at
blocktrail,
blockcypher and
blockexplorer it looks like, blockchain.info is messing something up...
// Confusing. My bitcoin-core client (0.14.2) is reporting 1032119Bytes, equal to 1032KiloBytes (10^3), or 1007KiBi (2^10).

I'm running a full node for years at home. No problems what so ever. But that may depend on your local setup. Is your ISP providing super accurate
geo-ip information? Do you have a static IP-Address?
At least Bitcoin-Core isn't a threat (in my point of view). Yes, it accepts incoming connections on Port 8333 (if you want so), but to my knowledge the network code is robust and hasn't been hacked/overflowed/etc. so far.
Of course you should not store (or leave behind the private keys) of your savings account, on that full node.

// If you got an VPS at hand with enough storage (160GB) it's an option too. But than you will have to do some network tunneling in order to get your offline transaction to be broadcasted.

Bitcoin.de is special since they only arrange trades between private people. So it's not like on kraken or bitstamp where the lowest aks price is filled and than the order book up.
You can place your 6k€ Order there and a friend of you can pick this special order (ignoring all lower offers) and fullfill this order. When both parties mark the trade es successfull (maybe even without transfering a single euro) the buyer gets the Bitcoins (minus the bitcoin.de fee) and the trade is done.
So it's easy to "paint the tape" on bitcoin.de

Long time i was certain Bitcoin is the way to go.
But to be honest, at least Cardano could shift things quite a bit, because they simply redesign and overhaul a lot of things Bitcoin and Ethereum weren't perfect.
Wouldn't be surprised if it's "the futer" (tm).

In what way? Looks exactly like December 26th-28th, almost exactly where it is today except a bit higher. So,
breaking bubbling upwards... again?
edit: further thoughts/ramblings, and grammar In the way the perfect anatomy of a bubble is described. Doesn't certainly mean we are going to crash. But currently it's not looking to bright.

Elaborate. There are multiple phases of a bubble, which do you see/think we are in? First sell off? Return to the mean? Both of those are right before great increases => bullish.
"Return to normal" just passed by and we may be on the way down to the floor.
But i thought the same thing around at 4k USD and was wrong

How come nobody’s talking about this coordinated attack on bitcoin? Has nobody noticed that all the nations of the world and all the governments of the world are working together on a schedule to bring down the price of bitcoin? Everybody is banning it every other day and they are predicting this in predicting that and trying to destroy cryptocurrency. Why isn’t anyone talking about that? I Understand this thread is about speculating on price but I see people going off topic ...and in my opinion this is the most interesting thing happening it’s very clear that all the governments of the world are working together on this. Bitcoin is now a symbol of resistance to the Chinese communist government! I wouldn’t be surprised if there are inquisitions soon for people who were holding bitcoin / crypto in China! And as we see other governments responding in kind you have a shape of the New World order coming right out of the shadows for everybody to see. Those of the people who run our world! And it says in the Bible the devil runs the world! These people are who the Bible was talking about! Take the acronym FUD fear uncertainty doubt does that sound like something God for angels are trying to inspire? Who do you think rules through fear: God or the devil?
http://www.scmp.com/business/banking-finance/article/2132009/china-stamp-out-cryptocurrency-trading-completely-ban Does anyone really think that bringing down the price of bitcoin is going to end bitcoin in some way I don’t think so...
blah blah blah.
No one can stop it. Bitcoin will always be worth what you and i agree upon. Who cares for states?

Snip
**except fire ants (op pls nerf)
If it really does roaches I'm satisfied.
Foggers are good for mosquitoes and flying pests but not so much for cockroaches. The insecticide doesn't get into the cracks and crevices... places the roaches hide.
Get a decent pump sprayer and some Deltamethrin. It's best to spray again after 2 weeks so you get all the eggs that might hatch. Used this on an apartment we stayed in a couple of years ago and it worked great.
Is this the stuff?

If it only would work...
