on the 3 min chart look for 3 legs of buying up, if so we may have put in a bottom
We've seen quite a few '3 legs up' on this correction, no bottom yet...
edit: although this seems to have some momentum.

Have any of you seen this bloomberg report?
http://www.bloomberg.com/video/12-days-of-bitcoin-struggling-to-buy-one-6gju__9xTpi5qyI_~aQy9A.htmlMaybe I am just too much of a technical computer person, but I am speechless at the incompetence, and inability to grasp the basic bitcoin concept by "top minds". Watching some of these "experts" dismiss bitcoin without understanding any of the basic principles, makes my brain scream BUY BUY BUY.... No wonder it keeps growing exponentially despite important people, people with clout, saying it is a fad or malarcky, the financial "experts" saying this are absolutely incompetent, too set in their ways or too old to understand basic principles of cryptology, and even the long forgot basics of simple exchange.
No wonder it keeps growing while people shake their heads in disbelief and refusal, people are dumber than I realized, (or more stuck in their ways.) Bitcoin is going to sneak up on all of them.
I feel this is exactly why you see so much BTC FUD in the gold and silver community. It's a direct threat to what they believe in ... therefore it is wrong.
Just watched it, they really don't get it do they.
Gotta get some of those 'Sativo' cents.

http://btctrading.wordpress.com/2013/12/10/long-term-update-daily-view-bitstamp/There will be probably a correction before moving above the all time high at $1163, that correction could be a nice buying opportunity for who is looking for a good moment to buy.
Pretty on point so far.

European finance ministers have reached the basis of an agreement to wind down failing banks and share the costs, Eurogroup President Jeroen Dijsselbloem told CNBC following a 16-hour marathon negotiating session in Brussels.
The agreement is expected to begin with a Cyprus-style "bail-in" process in which major depositors in failing banks are tapped first in an effort to support the lender.http://www.cnbc.com/id/101263206No comments...
This is positive news for Bitcoin, is it not? Or are we worried about how this could impact Bitstamp?

Post 3925190 (copy this link) (by 11ams) (scraped on 2020-04-04_Sat_11.36h):
positive news in that if you were in BTC you wouldn't be getting tapped on the shoulder for a bail out.
That's what I thought. It could potentially push people into looking at Bitcoin for it's store of wealth properties (although the fluctuations right now don't exactly instill confidence).

That one sickening, putting Mike out of business on laws with that don't apply to him is just typical of US bullyboys. Banks launder billions and get away with it while respected businesses get shut down for no legitimate reason.
I do agree that it really should not apply to him. I guess the implication is that bitcoin -> bitcoin transfers fall under fincen now? While I doubt this is the case and I feel like they just want to shut him down, they basically just legitimized Bitcoin as money (by U.S law) and regulated it.

It says that the silk road was possibly took down by "de-anonymizing" of the transaction hashes?
Is that correct? I thought the Pirate guy was caught through his own errors.
They are probably just talking about tracking wallet transactions back though the blockchain.

In reality.. the smartest people are those on BTCChina waiting for all time lows if this exchange is going down.. hey all my cash into btc sell at another exchange when the prices stabilizes....and while I am at it I'll just move to a country that likes human rights and I can do so now that my fiat is in btc except for the plane, train or automobile ticket.
Except they don't realize their country is shit any more than Americans do.
come to Canada then, were not so bad. But no where is really perfect can't wait till Goat buys an island and we can move there and start a btc only community.

Chinese just provided a blueprint for how to kill bitcoin. Outlaw fiat deposits but allow withdrawals.
Strongly suggests that the only reason most, if not all, traders buy bitcoin is to acquire more fiat.

Of course it does. Adoption follows speculation. We are at the speculation phase.
While fiat blocking is certainly a BTC weakness right now, not all countries can just shutdown exchanges as easily as the Chinese can. Getting real sick of China's shit right now though, hahaha.

Not a healthy foundation.
No, not really, but how healthy can you expect such disruptive technology like Bitcoin's foundation to be? Something that directly competes with every country in the world's REAL power. While this is my first BTC bubble, I deeply understand the 'early adopters risk more and should be rewarded more' aspect now.

Looks to me, Bitstamp wouldn't have a third of it's traffic if it is not due to Bitfinex leveraged trading.
Bitfinex went down 10 minutes ago for server moving and Bitstamp is suddenly very quiet.
Did Bitfinex give an ETA on how long they were going to be down?

30 mins to hour
Can anyone with previous experience with Bitfinex downtime confirm if they've met those timelines in the past? My experience with BTC server downtime is that it's always longer than stated.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but with BTC China still open but not really accepting deposits in any substantial way, can we not expect it to hold us down until Jan 31st? The arbitrage situation is tenuous and will take a few days to sort out. Also, what are the Chinese going to do with fiat from Bitstamp? While the market has processed this reality, not much has changed about it. Curious situation.
