so can we expect another year like 2013 with 2 bull runs in one year?

Unlikely, but let's cross our fingers. I doubt there will be as much buying power as last time though, we don't have China.

So are we going to break 270 today ladies and gents? Nice little pump going on this Sunday morning. The sells are getting eaten no problem, no walls in the way!
Can't go on forever. Candles are pretty long but can't expect it to go on forever, not as strong as the mighty China push (or whatever it was)

It seems like someone is trying to pump bitcoin up on bitstamp, 0.5 BTC per trade increasing by $0.02 each order.

With ~8% of the votes counted, NO is at 60%.
I'm sorry, but could you please link us to where this poll is located? I'm having trouble finding the sources :-/
prices a bit more stable now (If we're looking at the last few minutes, haha)

Holy shit, from 265 to 275 back to 265 in half an hour? What's happening, mommy, I'm scared!

Even the 1 month graph is showing a nice steady upwards trend.. But then I made the mistake to click the 1 year chart...

I cri every time.
Honestly for long term bitcoin holders like me, this just seems like a pimp and dump attempt due to the recent news. Nothing more, really.. Could this really increase the price past our all time high? I seriously doubt it.

Let's try to stabilize at over $270 now. The price is increasing at around $1/min, which seems better than $10 a min haha. Just because it's rising slowly doesn't mean that there couldn't be a sudden dump, though.

Ok, WTF? I just checked the last 24h graph for LTC, it's going crazy, it rose by ~$0.75 in the last few hours?
Is there a reason for this? o.O

Post 11800335 (copy this link) (by monbux) (scraped on 2020-04-04_Sat_14.19h):
That Litecoin pump was pretty predictable.. People are actually interested in crypto's but bitcoin is just to expensive..
just buy half a bitcoin.
This. I still don't know why the litecoin pump is still going on, I expected it to crash after the $4.75 USD mark... any idea how long it'll go? Not even sure why they are trying to pump litecoin... is the sole reason why they are buying LTC instead of BTC just that LTC is cheaper?

Not to shit on everyone's parade, but we only have 5k support to 258(finex).Keep your eyes on the charts.
Woke up today and saw bitcoin at 285, got mad since I spent over 3 bitcoin for purchasing items valued in USD just yesterday.

Seems like they really want to stop the dump this time, its moving back and forth like crazy...

Really haven't looked at LTC until yesterday and was shocked at price... looks like price correction well underway....
Was anyone watching the BTC troll box?
I can hear the squealing from here.
LTC will still probably rise to $10. It's much more easier to move ltc's price in comparison to trying to love btc's price.

Do you think the dump will go under 280 by the end of today? The 1m graph is pure beauty right now

What is up with this dump?
The dump
is the news. Most exciting thing to happen all week!
There was news regarding the arrest of the person behind my gox... And a load of media coverage regarding that.

imagine we wake up to 400$ bitcoin lol

Very possible by the rate it's going. The only question now is, when will it start heading the other way?

When the universe finally implodes. Or two hours. Or somewhere in the middle.
Maybe.
Everyone is getting so hyped and positive. I can't wait to see the reaction of people when bitcoin starts crashing by just a little bit...

Ach. Who gives a shit? This has been a nice shot in the arm and a welcome change of pace. It'll happen again in the future and fresh arrivals got a fun taste of 2013 even if it's a brief one for now.
it has, but to be honest, it came just as unexpected as the last huge bitcoin rise in 2013. Who knows, this might actually follow in the path of our first bitcoin to-the-moon attempt

Looks like there's 1.8 million BTC in dust in the mempool.
Totally not one guy:

Just Roger Ver re-sending his bulk spamstorm all over again. He does this from time to time, in a stubborn attempt to shore up lost bigblocker cause.
Could someone explain this to the less able-minded people, like me?

I say on the 5th of November 2016 everyone cancels any sell orders they have and place buy orders.
lets call it Global Pump Day
the next 24 hours are critical!

I can picture all those who held coins from the epic pump of 2013 waiting for ROI. Fingers resting on triggers.
Can you, because I can't? How many of these strange and incredible people who defy normal human psychology do you envisage?
Counting today, 5 of the top 20 days in bitcoin history for BTCUSD price have been the past 5 days. Only 8 days have been higher than current prices. It doesn't seem like there would be a large group of people who bought on those 8 days and decided to wait 3 years to see if bitcoin could recover.
If they did buy on the peak I am more than certain that they've also bought during and after the drops to try and lower the cost per coin.
ALSO, wtf @exchange spread?

100 $ arbitrage, China vs US. too much
There are some people out there making bare cash.

Who's to say China won't release another "warning" about bitcoin when we're approaching $1100 again or $1500, etc.?
This is not all about China.
You know as the bitcoin market grows (various network effects) it takes more and more factors to undermine its growth and momentum which also materializes in price, so upwards price pressures are going to continue, even if from time to time there are factors (including china) or other govs that may attempt to "crack down" on bitcoin...
And when you really think about it, a lot of times, gov claims to even be able to crack down on bitcoin are a bit overrated.
Bitcoin warning lol that's nothing. This btc rise was due to yuan weakness and the btc dump was caused by yuans one day record breaking pump. The correlation between the two are the main factor for Bitcoin. Imagine how high our btc rally could have went if the yuan didn't have that extremely rare increase right in the middle of our celebration
You are giving way too much credit to one factor (the chinese connection). We were due for a correction.. did you see that we have not had any major correction since before the beginning of October (before lower $600s)... . This correction was due and the chinese connection or whatever may have assisted but it was not the cause..
Have you seen fiatleak.com though? China is a huge portion of the trading volume. Crazy huge.

I wouldn't call it Bitmain-fiasco. I would call it: "Ignoring the necessity of scaling for 3 years fiasco."
Until this day you have peeps like LunaticLuke that say openly that the high fees are good and the blocksize should be shrunk to 0.5MB.
Also we had a solution early 2016, remember? The miners and some core devs agreed for 2MB+SW. What happend? Core just openly gave a fuck about that agreement. Seriously, to blame just one side is rather biased.
Finally, something who is using their brain! Kind of disappointing how many pages I had to read through to find a decent post though..

An "idiot"? LOL, OK what part is "idiotic"?
Did they sign the agreement? Yes.
Did it say SW+2MB? Yes.
Did Maxwell and others openly state just hours after they signed it "We dont care." Yes.
So what part is misleading?
Are you stupid and spreading false information? Yes.
"Core" signed nothing, and there is no such thing as "Core" when considering a singular entity. A few contributors to Bitcoin Core went to that meeting as individuals, thinking it was a good idea. They all signed it
as individuals. Gmaxwell was not even part of them and criticized the agreement right after it was public. FYI:
F2Pool broke it by mining a Bitcoin Classic block, thus the agreement was void at that point.
Finally, something who is using their brain! Kind of disappointing how many pages I had to read through to find a decent post though..
No. ImI is absolutely wrong and uninformed.
You can thank JihanCoin for this price decline. Weirdly enough, it happened just 1 day before I needed some cash.

Unfortunately, I find myself to be misinformed as well. I think the point I was making was how off the majority of posters sounded.
So greed many greed people greed creating greed additional greed fear. The greed community greed is greed breaking greed apart greed rather greed than greed coming greed together. greed I greed wonder greed how greed many greed real greed bitcoiners greed are greed left.
Also, the monopoly was there for the longest time. So was the scaling problem, which i find to be slightly bigger than minuscule.

How much hours left in fork approximately?
BTG snapshot is on the 25th, then coins hit in November (10th?). 2x is later in November.
IIRC there is no set date for the coins to actually be distributed.
