Looking good, but I like how everyone is so euphoric over a 10$ move

Also, tear down that final wall!
This time, we broke trends that had rejected any up movement many times:

Some buying on Huobi and BTC-E. Bounce time?

I got all excited this morning thinking we were gonna break through..... false alarm.

Anyone notice this short term divergence in price between Huobi and BFX? What's up with that?
I did notice it at the time... looks like price never changed enough to matter, though.

If you are *the* Willy, you could do something about it.
LOL, didn't put two and two together until now. Unfortunately, I don't have the phantom funds to pump with.

Hmm. So Stamp $590 broke, but no one followed. Can we go up from here? Not seeing a bounce yet, but maybe the bulls will show up eventually?

Is there any way I can short the number of posts in this thread? Seems like some manipulator is making this a sure bet!

cry and sell now
or
lose everything and sucide later
Your posts continue to get more and more ridiculous
Take it as a good sign. You know, historically, when that suicide hotline pops up on Reddit, the reversal is close.... if you're holding bags, just close your eyes. It'll all be over soon.

I just sold whatever i had left. It's clear, Bitcoin is dead.
It failed. This year was make or brake. It broke. People lost interest. Everyone is getting out.
You have to be delusional to think the price will go up suddenly again.
Face it, this is the 5th or 6th year already. This is the time where it was supposed to happen and it simply failed.
People aren't gonna be suddenly interested again in 2 months again.
It's over. There is one way this will go and it isn't up.
Shhhh no tears.
Whoa. ShroomsKit sold? Everything? I thought that guy was the type to bagHODL forever. If some more regulars go super bear around here, I'm gonna go all in, contrarian style.

Today was the first day in a week where a big wall on OKCoin was bought in a few bites instead of causing downward pressure.
If this was not the bottom for now.. I'd be surprised.
I think there is too much TA talk of the importance of the 550/540$ breach. It takes only one big announcement to get this rocket going again.
Really? I feel like we are constantly getting really good news, and no rally ever to be found. Now Braintree looks to be a test bed for Paypal to start accepting bitcoin. Annnnnd bet you we're gonna drop.......

Hmmm, I kind of liked it with Chartbuddy having his own thread. Anyone else? Was it the OP or a moderator who shut down the troll observer (Chartbuddy observer) thread?

Damn, looks like we broke my 1hr timeframe uptrend. This is whipsawing around like all hell. Wonder where it will go.... Seems like up from here = 530s retest (and good chance of fail), down from here = retest 480-470....

So that was a failed breakout followed by a dump back to the 3075 support. There is really nothing bullish about that at all. I'm still in fiat for now, waiting for this thing to turn. It's pretty ugly.

ah dang TA says sell all now b4 it crashes 1/2 a percent.

Wait for a retest of $530. If it does that, then back to $600+ we go.
If no retest, then a few weeks plumbing the depths of $400 is in store...
this sounds pretty reasonable, but i dont think it will dip past 440-450
Hard to say. The weekly chart is really, really scary looking. I hope momentum turns around. For the short term, it looks to me like we had a failed upside breakout, so down is likely coming. I'm looking at $470-480 short term, but longer term, it could get much worse.

How low do you think it will go, and why is it "worse"? Do you believe that BTC economy can be quenched merely by taking price lower? There was a growing BTC economy in 2012 at the average price of $10 if you don't remember... Now instead of 10000s, we have about 1 million owners of BTC and everything is much more solid.
"Worse" for the BTC/USD exchange rate -- I don't think price is really any threat to the future of the protocol, or the BTC economy, or anything like that. I have no idea how low (or high) it will go. It's just that when I look at the weekly chart, it almost looks as if the run to 680s
was a bubble cycle in and of itself, and on this time frame, downside momentum is only increasing. It's just a bit scary to look at. I'm weary to take any position on the organic growth of users, as I find the data we have very inconclusive.

Regarding oversold.... sure. But any good trader knows that oversold conditions can stay embedded in a strong downtrend. Oversold conditions are most useful to tell you "don't sell/short here", but it doesn't mean we can't go lower.

We're just slowly sliding..... if history serves as example, the panic has yet to surface and thus, neither has capitulation. That is not to say that we NEED another capitulation, but it's really beginning to feel as though it's inevitable. How many failed breakouts before bulls start to panic again?

Post 8522747 (copy this link) (by WillyBTC) (scraped on 2020-04-04_Sat_13.08h):
If volume is lower and lower in a capitulation, it is a sign of a lack of sellers.
(Buyers are patently lacking, otherwise we were not in a downtrend at all..)
What do you consider to be a capitulation? What I see is low volume consolidation after a (likely) failed rally. That's normal under any circumstance. Capitulation (and seller exhaustion) is what would happen at the bottom of a steep downtrend from here. This is just noise/consolidation for now. But it has a downward bias still, IMO.

Lots of short term resistance in this 2930 area. Looks like we've been trying all night to get past it. Doesn't look like it will budge. Onto 450-460 next, then? What do you guys think?

This little short squeeze is almost identical to the one 3 days or so ago. Bulls cant find no momentum here..

the quicker you let bears get them 250 coins, the quicker we go back up.
Just sayin'

In theory, I agree. But I thinker lower than $250 first.

I'm expecting the price to remain around this level for about another week or two. The outcome of the Ross Ulbricht trial might cause a bit of movement, though I'm not sure in which direction.
Not much for news, myself. Don't think it will change the overall direction price will move anyway. I think we may continue to retrace up for the next several days, but overall, we continue down.

this market is so flat, i've hardly opened the chart at all the past few weeks.... where's the volatility?
We're keeping it stable for a while so people stop saying that Bitcoin cannot be stable (some people complained about volatility in the past, now it's traders complaining)
Enough stability. This is painful. I'll take a doom drop to $100 if it will bring some life back to the market.

You know what to do. Just turn on your bot.
Believe me, I would be much happier about things if I knew how to code a good bot.
