Bitstamp really starting to deviate again. Lots on the sell side.
Leading or

Seems so. Anyway I'm out. Sold at 121 last time, waited, bought in again at 64-65, now out again. Still think it's overvalued, just riding the manipulated wave. Lot's of resistance last time around 130. So I guess we'll actually reach a lower high. Good luck to the one holding my coins now

what the fuck just happened
Calm down, just a 50 cents move on Bitstamp and Btc-e, nothing to get excited about. But apparently on Mtgox times are tough, people willing to pay such a high premium.

What did you say? Litecoin doesn't have any of those things?
It indeed does not if you look at it objectively. It is still waiting for something really better than Bitcoin, I am sure it will come.

Dead cat bounce

Missed some trading opportunities, 6 am here. Anyway amount of bids didn't really fill in in the last days, they were just stretched up. It was only about 23k to 150, even with the price moving up all the way to 230.

I agree entirely.
Nobody in their right mind would sell another 5000-10000 BTC right now - they need to wait for the bids to fill in first.
I believe I said it earlier but he who dumps first wins. That 10k dump earlier was a real winner !
Yeah, but most bought in below 120 in june/july. I expected a bigger dump. But I agree, better wait till it calms down and moves up a bit and then do another round.

1) The pre-$135/btc long term holder, who knows that right now btc's true value is not ~$200 and they will not buy at that price, when a discount may be around the corner, and feel btc's true value is around $100-$150.
Yep, that's me. I wouldn't mind if the price goes up more, but I wouldn't buy more at these prices, let the others take the high risk.

Why so slow? Everything bitcoin related is blowing up at the moment.
Somebody hit me with some bear, please! Not enough bears around here -- this makes me worry.

Ok a tiny bit of bear. Isn't all the good news priced in already? That is why the price is at $210. Bitcoin has been in the world news so many times. If you are new to Bitcoin because of the current news and look back at the price, you are basically buying in at the top now, is that a good idea? I arrived late to the party in the beginning of may and waited, which was a good decision, bought in in july at around $63 on Bitstamp, a bit lucky though.
And this $27 to $855,000 story, I am sure will give a lot of people an arriving late to the party feeling, so they can't be bothered.

I didn't see much whale buys during this rally btw, this was different in april if i remember right. Or am i wrong?
Whales are selling slowly and constantly putting medium walls (1k-3k) on bitstamp, little fish are buying the current hype and may bleed later on..
As for Gox its an abandoned house.
Lol @ little fish. Took the opportunity in this little rally to abandon Gox as well without a loss. Just the lack of communication bothers me and the false promises about the implementation of Litecoin, new trading engine and withdrawals. Good to see the high volume on Litecoin, competition and alternatives are good, eventhough I do not trade Litecoin.

Bitstamp being pushed up a lot by Bitfinex it seems. Nice.

Everyday there is 2-3 1k btc buy wall at stamp ,must be fresh money from some big corporation

It is part of the wall that was around 260 that was pulled and moved higher, nothing fresh.

Still going up, crazy

I am getting rich, but the FBI is even getting richer lol. The 4k Bitcoin theft in mainstream news though and Bitfinex taking measures to cope with a possible crash.

Does anyone know where to post that a 5 BTC withdrawal I did 3,5 hours ago on MtGox hasn`t still been processed? Their customer service does not answer yet. On Gox is does not show up as pending, but as done (in the history).
There is a thread somewhere in service discussions. Unfortunately this is normal, it happened to me quite a few times. You will have your coins tomorrow hopefully and support will reply in a week. Just stop using Gox.

It almost seems as if someone at Bitstamp is attempting to FORCE that to happen so that people will think this.
Exactly. It still seems some people are easily impressed by some bid support on the charts. Yesterday it was the same. You would think they should know better by now. Also when it dropped a bit yesterday, bid walls were removed very prematurely. Still easy to ride these little waves though, just profit from it.

These overnight profits

sometimes Bitcoin really is a get rich quick scheme. Anyway time to take the day off and enjoy the weekend. Looking back to the total lack of buy interest for 440+ coins and the grind down the last weeks, probably a good idea.

I got a small deposit (100€) in yesterday at Bitstamp and now they want me to answer 5 questions.
[ ... ]
100E? Is this for real? I'm not gonna send money to Bitstamp again. Any fiat will go through Bitfinex for now, until better options arise. Too many reports of this. I have become too fearful that they will freeze my funds to keep money there. What if they don't like my answers? What if they try to say my coins are from SR or something?
Yes, what is going on with Bitstamp lately? I have been using them for over a year and they recently blocked Bitcoin withdrawals in my account without notifying me, I asked them to allow the withdrawal of Bitcoins again and they tell me this:
Please provide a high resolution image of yourself holding your ID (the same ID used for your account verification) and "[date of submission] For Bitstamp LIMITED only" written on a piece of paper.
Attach the document in a reply to this ticket, so we can check your identity and proceed with your request.
Are they joking? I am just a simple trader, not a criminal. After Gox, where I luckily got out in December, now this again.

Closed my long, some good profits. Crazy greedy panic buyers haha

Time to sleep, 6 am here. Anyway it will be interesting to see if the overall downtrend of 2014 continues or not.

Shorts are high, but I am sure most of them are sitting on massive gains from the overall downtrend, so they can take a beating. Also longs measured in bitcoins have increased the last few days even more than shorts. I took my 25% profit already, so I don't really care at the moment where it goes.

BitSwamp has been under the control of that guy with the 1000k ask wall since July ... someone needs to clean his clock and take him out once and for all ...
Chill out, let him play. As long as he makes money, then good on him.
