never sell what is crashing and never buy when it is skyrocketing

Wise words. I'm semi-nervous looking at bitstamp. I guess I'm just gonna close it and sit this out.

looks like it's going to break the previous lows of 850ish... at 880 right now and no one is buying, doubt $30 makes a big difference...

Certainly looks like it. I wonder if the 850 wall will hold.

looks like we are going to paint a higher low, place your bids at the front the bounce back is happening now or never.

It will happen, I am convinced of that. I doubt it will be now since there is more selling then buying going on at the moment. Very low resistante till 850's

mtgox constipating at 920-960 range... i think we're getting cheap coins soon...

I think it is a couple of 1-minute traders that keep the price high. Once they stop trading we might

Bought back... doubled my btc tonight Smiley

Wondering how many people are just waiting to hit the buy! The jump will be huge.

I guess a lot. At each price correction I held my coins. This time I had a hunch and sold at $935,-. Looks like I made the right choice this time  Tongue

I'm curious about what is gonna happen when the US wakes up. Will they
a) Panic sell even more
b) Buy all the cheap BTC
c) Do nothing

I feel we still have some downwards movement left to go so panic selling may be in order. This currently feels like another bulltrap. We will see.

but dat push for 700 doe.. we'll see how long we can sustain this bounce.

I can't tell about other exchanges, but what I see on bitstamp is that the trading volume is very low and the price is very easily manipulated at the moment. A lot of 0.x BTC trades, which makes me guess bots are trading with each other at the moment  Tongue

bubble shmubble, it'll be back to $900+ in a day.
+1 - it's bitcoin after all!!! Wink

My guess it might be after the weekend, but don't forget this might prevent new money flowing in because people could be scared.

When you look at the order book @ bitstamp.. I takes a pretty low volume to push the price back to 700$. that is pretty scary lol

Thats sad how easy they manipulate the Bitcoin price. This could be the begining of the end of BTC.

It sure is a bad thing for the BTC-economy

Wow! Not even 1 Million coins.

Woah.. I guess a lot of that volume is just the same couple of K coins switching hands though.

My share of the world's trading volume: 0.53%.

No wonder they want to conduct an additional KYC check in Bitstamp  Grin

Why would they just not read this forum Wink

Imagine the money the exchanges are making now.. a minimum of 0.4% (0.2% for the buyer and 0.2% for the seller) of that volume on bitstamp. Damn..

Well, things are looking healthy, imo. What do you guys think? Another bull trap?

I think this is a good price. I'm afraid to sell as the chance of going down again is getting slimmer and slimmer.

Not sure. If you look at the bitstamp orderbook it takes just 28 BTC to make the price drop 30 $

Could someone please comment on where they feel the exchange handles shorting well-- I'm asking whether Cavitrex (sp?) and vitrex (sp?) are the best/only game in town to participate in the 'other' successful trade (shorting)?

Thanks in advance.  Smiley

Bump. So, how are you guys shorting?

It's possible to go short?  Shocked

Look here http://bitcointicker.co/

See the last trades. A lot of 0.004 trades? A lot of people using the same bot or someone trying to make sure the price stays at a certain level?
