It's so "strong" simply because everyone is in a race to devalue their own currency and everyone is beating the USD at doing that right now. "strong" and "weak" dollar indexes are 100% manipulated by the central banks deciding on how much money to print in relation to other countries. Don't be fooled by these numbers like most people are.
Also the stock market looks pretty good right? Wrong. What else do you expect with QE x 3 and extremely low interest rates? Everyone puts their money in the stock market and the slow but steady rise is really more of a ponzi scheme than anything else right now.

The rest of the world is in more shit than USA. Capital has found save haven in USD as the rest of the markets are in poor condition, for example EU is in deflation and soon there will be nobody willing to lend to some of the EU members (France, Spain,...) which may need to default and thus many investors find holding Euro risky. There are taxes raising everywhere in hunt for money to prolong govermental status quo and socialstic utopia in many countries. Oil prices are only indicator that we may go into another global recession in the next months and investors are expecting lower demand for energy.

Sorry, I consider myself pretty hardcore libertarian. Feudalism does not really connote freedom. Sure, if you were a lord or king or whatnot, it was probably a pretty fun time (until your rival ran a sword through your gizzards) but the common man had it pretty rough. It wasn't really until firearms came along and started to level the playing field that that was redressed.
However, there were regions and times where freedom was more prevalent and we can see its positive effects within the societies that exist currently. Control? Soviet Russia, North Korea, Communist China. More freedom? South Korea, current hybrid China. Even more freedom? 20th century US and UK. Bit less freedom? Declining 21st century US and UK.

Yea, I have/had major issues getting along with people who have different visions and different life style that I didn't/don't agree with. thanks to the regulations that exists in my home country (Algeria) and here in EU I could still live with them, in other words I lived the CHAOS first hand between 1991-2000, so try to live in a system where having an Islamic orthodox fucking you up and slaughtering everyone against his vision then tell me how to get people to agree on something in a free of regulations state/world where you have many demographics, because you don't know shit about that, I lived it first hand.

I am sure it was painful for that long period of time though.  There was even more uncertainty then about where Bitcoin was going and how successful it would be than there is now.  Now we can see the infrastructure growing everyday.
