Hmm from 70-80k bids to 50k bids in only 9 days, things are certainly looking towards the drop in BTC. Also a 5k wall at $108/110 definitely going to be tough to raise the price.

Can't wait til this weekend to see another drop in price by $10 or so, and there will still be bulls saying buy its cheap.

We might see 300 by the end of the week, however it is not the prices that we see it is the overall feeling of the community. Where will the resistance be after $266? When will the inevitable bubble burst and how will we know preemptively?

If this bubble can reach $1k, will it promptly create a crash from all of the sellers at that price point? Or will it begin much sooner ($500)?

mtgox making another move upward back to 320 I think we might see serious climbs in price soon.

btcchina is running up the wall over there and the other exchanges are struggling to keep up. Does anyone see an end in sight to this madness?

Sheesh, are we still below 400? *yawn*
Maybe it's because it's bedtime in China, things might pick up again tomorrow. Today hasn't been a typical weekend dip at all
Most things going on between 10p EST and 6a EST. A dip could happen, but again all exchanges are following China atm, so it's more of wait and see.

Another spike up in price tomorrow? Seems like the flash crash this weekend only succeeded in stabilizing the price at $300-320.

We all know gox is becoming more insiginificant. I can't wait til the day where they are no longer in business. Also, feel bad for all of the people still hopelessly trying to get their money out...
Edit: It's up now.

I just witnessed on Gox a single massive 1.4 K sell at once at 430 dropping all the way down to 405. Damn.
It's good to see how bitcoin isn't affected by this kind of things any more.

and yet it bounced RIGHT back up to 430.
I don't have the numbers off hand to back this up, but it seems like the April-May rise would have been seriously affected by such a sell even for a few hours. This time around it's almost like these dumps don't happen.
Am I crazy for feeling this to be the case?
no this is indeed the case.
the "bubble pop" happened on very little volume, everyone let that knife fall. no one is letting the kinfe fall today... ( might be because the chinese promiss to buy ALL the bitcoin for mtgox price +10%

)
sheez where's that guy with the 700 dollar per coin contracts? he just simply just ignored me LOL!!!
/\500 will be the proving ground imho!
Do I hear $500 tomorrow? It's quite possible given todays high was $70 higher than yesterday...

$500 on Monday depending on how Senate hearings go. Most likely, they will be neutral to positive, therefore I am thinking maybe $550 by next weeks end.

I say we briefly test $300 tomorrow before finding a new equilibrium around $400.
This is very possible, but again may drop lower. I have a bunch of buys 300-420 because last low was $375 (this is on btc-e). Still holding 40%dollars/60%

I think we just broke out of that triangle on Gox.
Correct, Full swag ahead captain!
And Gox is really the only live exchange now, Stamp DDOS'd and China down for maintenance. Interesting.
I don't believe they are getting ddossed, sounds more like they cheapskated themselves out of good servers.
I think they just can't handle the massive increase in traffic lately. Just like Gox back in April.. in their own words: they were defeated by their own success. Will Bitstamp become the new MtGox now?

Or will btc-e? Who knows, but I just think there is too much downward pressure in this market right now.

I don't see a scenario where bitcoin doesn't crash hard. It just seems like everyone is speculating on it and once the bears start dumping we'll see $300 regularly again.

Post 3708831 (copy this link) (by mvidetto) (scraped on 2020-04-04_Sat_11.28h):
I feel like if bitcoin can't make a strong move to the upside, it will slowly meander down over a few weeks. There's not as much buying pressure and a substantial amount more selling pressure than one week ago which is why the price has equalized for the short term. If this increasing selling trend continues we could see substantially lower prices.

Unfortunately, this might last a few more days at minimum.

I think the longer we keep going slightly downwards, the better. It insures we won't drop to 542 overnight again
Actually a slow slide downwards often turns into an avalanche at some point. People holding bitcoins hate seeing its value slowly sliding down and down and at some point the twig just breaks. So far not seeing that here because we're still sitting at the same price level where we were yesterday for a long time but if we slide below 840-850 on Gox (830 Bitstamp) a real sell-off is very easily triggered.
I would tend to agree with this, and yeah I'm currently worrying about the price as well...

Serious money is going to be flowing in to bitcoin all through 2014. Sell now if you think you can acquire a few more before chew chew chrain resumes. I'd say it's unnecessary greed. And it's annoying listening to all the "pmg itz g0 dw0n !1"
This is turning into a fucking troll box like on btc-e.
This will definitely not happen if there continues to be no regulations on it...

Post 3985905 (copy this link) (by mvidetto) (scraped on 2020-04-04_Sat_11.38h):
it feels like the market at an impasse
we can see much higher prices in the future
but in the short term we are overbought.
in the past the short term speculation has won out over the long term potential value
but this time its really not so clear what the market will do.
Agree with nearly all, but price will likely slowly fall like $3-5 a day for a few weeks.

Happy Friday everyone! I am hoping for a weekend rally! I know they aren't all that common, but we could possibly get into the $605-$615 range by Monday if people start buying

Just waiting on auction now...
