Is there any alternative to https://www.btcforkmonitor.info/ that shows whether a chain split has actually happened? The site has been down for a while now...

Working for me here

Yeah, up again. Was down for me or lagging behind in block height for the last couple hours.

Not sure what I was expecting to happen but we're past the time now...?

The fork time of 12:20pm UTC refers to the median time of the blockchain. It typically lags behind the real time by 6 blocks or about an hour. So the real split should happen some time after 13:20pm. Depending on BCH's hashrate it could take them some time to find their first block and split the chain.

very low hashrate on mainnet right now... Is it posible that lots of miners have switched to BCC and are just waiting for the fork to happen?

5 more regular blocks and then 1 ABC block with a size > 1MB to go until the HF happens.

Code:
Current median time: 1501585575
HF needed median time: 1501590000

 Roll Eyes

Can you tell me where to get the median time? I used https://www.btcforkmonitor.info/ but it is down sometimes.

I'm watching my full node. Smiley

Edit: I'll post it here for you.

Thank you, I would like to know how to get median time from my local bitcoind. I tried getinfo, bit timeoffset is always 0.

It was already almost 300% more profitable so soon it can be more profitable to mine BCC ? If it will happen then BCC value will jump higher...

Lots of exchanges still don't accept BCH deposits. Lots of people withdrew their bitcoins from the exchanges before the fork in fear of the exchanges messing up. I expect another big dump of BCH once the exchanges allow BCH deposits.

Breaking News:

According to BitcoinMeister the next friendly BTC fork is on the way called Bitcoin Gold.
Video info here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAukxlpwyHg

GPU mined bitcoin fork with POW change to GPU originating from China.
Competitor to BCH and maybe Etherium later.

Sold my BCH for a nice 17.2% dividend that was an easy call. This one might be a harder call. Could pull some interest away from ethereum once ethereum goes proof of stake.

Team behind the bitcoin gold project will implement replay protection and are pro core according to the video which is interesting.

Even if it is 'friendly' it's still not helpful.

And it also has the magic three letters of I C & O
