Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we lost the bit we gained last night and we're right back where we were yesterday morning... currently $15247USD/$19307CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Old coins are worth $18448USD/$23357CAD each (Coinmarketcap).

I suppose sideways is better than going down but this morning's dip feels contrived and artificial.

Obviously it will be temporary but it's annoying to me because I would have sold a very small amount of coin last night to take advantage of a boxing week special to buy a Win7 laptop for a friend. Unfortunately my local 24/7 ATM wasn't buying coins and all the other nearby ATMs were closed for the holiday.

Now I'll have to wait a day or two until I get some more cash revenues or Bitcoin prices rise sufficiently. There's no way I'm selling any coins at this price.

Too bad, she's coming into town tomorrow night and I wanted to have it set up to surprise her. I also wanted to get one for myself as a "throwaway" for international travel that I won't have to worry about falling into the wrong hands. I can save $600 by buying them this week.

Notice how they're trying to paint a head-and-shoulders pattern on the tape, in a low volume/participation environment.

Classic Bitcoin.  Grin

No freaking kidding. I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice.  Roll Eyes

True story:

My daughter knows that I'm in Bitcoin, and today she asked me if I know that bitcoin is crashing, she saw it somewhere online. I told her that I know, and without me explaining anything about it, she gathered half of her savings and asked me isn't it now good time to buy and can I help her do it?

Makes daddy proud. HODLer by nature.

What was your answer?

Thought experiment. On his way up the dusty trail to retrieve his silver stash, roach encounters ibian asleep. Afraid he might try to steal his silver on the way back down, roach considers poisoning ibian's whisky. And according to the logic of self-interest, he does. Later, ibian shoots roach and robs him. Then he drinks some whisky and dies.

Had roach and ibian cared more about the welfare of others and less about themselves, they would still be alive today.

I think you might be projecting here.
A honest upstanding right winger would not even think of killing his fellow man. That's what leftists do. As they did in the Soviet Union, and still do in Cuba, Venezuela, China and north Korea.
(Not saying that Roach is a honest upstanding right winger, he's not).
The holodomor remains the single most important and underreported disaster in recent times. Envious people, brainwashed by marxism, killed and looted productive farmers. This resulted in nobody having food, so ten million people died.

You don't have to go back this far in history. These guys eradicated 25% of their population in just 4 years https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khmer_Rouge

It hasn't hit me yet.

Making it official with a select group tomorrow, then telling my direct manager on Friday.

Wow.

I can't believe I actually pulled this plan off...

Congratulations Bob.
You seem like a nice guy, I hope your retirement will be a pleasant one, please keep us updated.

I wish they would remake Dune the movie. With today's CGI and stuff it would be awesome.

Feel free to pump my bitcoin private.
Anyone know where to dump them?

I stopped paying attention to forks after bitcoin gold. What ones are worth doing?

I’ve done BCH, BTG & Bitcore. Haven’t bothered with the others but there are a lot. Be great if somebody could compile a list with all the current prices.

I found this a while back but don’t know what the current prices are -

Loyce made a list of redeemable fork coins but the prices aren’t correct any more -

This seems like a quite convenient service for this topic [Walleting.Services] AUTOMATED Fork Extractions: BTG BCD SBTC BCX BTX LBTC BTCP

4. Sometimes I wonder if enjoying life more at the moment beats having more money later. For once, if you eventually get to a decrepitude stage with $100 mil worth of btc (say, in a few decades), then I have to ask: The f-k you are going to do with it?

I have been thinking a lot about this.

Do I want to be a filthy rich octogenarian with failing health, or a reasonably well off middle aged guy with energy for projects?

These are the burning questions for sure. I'm trying to strike a balance. No doom intended, but if I live to see 80 I will piss myself laughing.

And maybe you won't even notice.

Saw a man today (around 45-50) in Phuket riding a Harley wearing a cap with bitcoin logo on it. He had a young chick in the back, aged maybe around 20y. Wonder if he's someone from the forum Smiley

My role model.

Thailand probably frightens me more than it should. My carcerophobia kicks in just thinking about it.

That's a very good point. Maybe being multimillionaire can help avoiding that risk there?. Donno.

The weather also doesn't look very good with a crazily high humidity most of the year?

It looks like the good points are, so far: Basically cheap everything (including young women girls). Not cold in the winter which is a plus even if rain and humidity ruins it somehow.

Probably I am oversimplifying as I have never been there. Just armchair opinion.

Here it is, Sunday night in Tahiti. What does one do with your time in such a paradise?

My gf and I are literally both calling our banks to get our accounts unlocked due to bitcoin.

Her calling Thailand, me calling Germany. Via Skype, in French Polynesia.

Such is the life of a bitcoin hodler.

I just want to get my money out of my German bank into BTC so I can close the account.

Would you mind to elaborate what happend?

Meh, gf sells BTC on localbitcoins. Nigerian scammer took some old woman's money by "making her" send money 17 times to 10 different bank accounts (LBC users). My gf was one of those LBC users. The police flagged all of the accounts until they could figure out what happened. They finally cleared her but the bank still has her account locked.

For mine...it's been a long time issue with Germany's screwed up system.

What a clusterfuck. I hope it all comes out well for you. Did she sell BTC on LBC in Thailand? Was there namable demand?

I just googled French Polynesia, it looks nice. Would you recommend it for a holiday?
