Similarly, a standard deviation increase in Twitter post counts resulted in a 2.5 percent increase in bitcoin’s price.

I'm in the middle of watching the video right now.
How much credit do you give to his prediction(s)? Do you believe that he is right with the prediction(s) including his thoughts that 10x and 100x are not going to be happening in BTC no more? and do you believe that he is weighing the right
I don't believe that. He argues that these days are over because the main purpose of futures are shorting. As the interviewer starts digging deeper he admits that shorting is only the main purpose in the beginning of an asset, in fact that crypto is such an unregulated space, chances are high that he is more than wrong about that.
Edit:
I did finish watching the whole thing... and I will add a tiny bit of editorial from me about his comment on tether towards the end of the video and his additional assertion that if there were a way to make a crypto that was tied to the price of gold, then that would be a good thing.
Either he is purposefully misleading, or he is stupid. I doubt that he is stupid, but there are people who actually believe some of that kind of bullshit that he is spouting and really do fail/refuse to understand and recognize what bitcoin is bringing to the table.
He asserted that he had read Saifedean Ammous' book, The bitcoin standard, but I doubt that he really is accounting for sound money principles that Ammous lays out there (they are not new concepts but in that book, Ammous does at least attempt to show why bitcoin is important in terms of sound money principles), but McGlone is likely purposefully spinning away from Ammous and just attempting to seem like he is objective and well read because he refers to Ammous' book.
Thanks for your comment, I had the same thoughts. He is condradicting himself from time to time during the interview and I also had the impression that he neither didn't understand what he is talking about or did this on purpose.

Sure, but markets without obvious fundamentals trade the same. The absolute numbers are irrelevant here.
Do you believe that fundamentals of BTC and market dynamics are similar to early 2015? Do you believe that charts match up, and so we are going to experience similar dynamics in early 2019 as we saw in early 2015?
Sure, it is possible, but how much weight are you going to give to such a scenario? How much you going to bet on such a scenario to play out? Personally, I would not bet much on that, and even betting anywhere close to 50% on such a scenario playing out seems quite imprudent to me, but hey, to each their own.
By the way, I am not suggesting that Bitcoin does not have a fairly heavy burden to get back above $6k and to stay above $6k, I am just questioning the likelihood of painting either doom and gloom scenarios or flat price scenarios for BTC that drag out a long time based on prior charts and attempting to place a lot of credence in previous patterns.

So I have some information from a meeting of the French government, I have confirmed its authenticity. I'm not into spreading craziness, just putting it out there.
They are assuming 30-40% of their population gets affected. They are planning on a peak in June. They believe it is a single event, not seasonal.
They do not believe the EU will last another 5 years.
The key part is that they believe the economic outcome will be so bad that they will have to enact martial law. The discussion regarding this is that they will need to give special treatment to the families of the military because the threat is internal as opposed to external. So they will be asking soldiers to do bad things to its own citizens and need them to think about the well being of their own families as motivation.
Just an FYI, I'm sure governments are having similar discussions.
Here in Panama everything is fine where I live since we're so far away from the city. I stocked up for a couple of months and have a fishing pole.
I wonder how go you get information of internal government talks of a state thousands of miles away from you.
