People, serious question here, aren't you afraid that we will crash really badly after this insane move ?

Didn't we always say, slowly and steadily better than this circus !!

I'm really afraid !!

Fear nothing!

For those of us who lived through December 2013, and are still around, this 'ain't nothing'.

Price prediction is a dangerous game - it has a habit of making you look like a fool. But here goes, for your entertainment and pleasure.

My guess is that this train will keep going until we get well past the ATH, then it will fall back like a lead balloon, to somewhere above where we are now.

I wouldn't try to sell at the peak, because you can't spot the peak until we are well on the way down.
So my advice is to hold on the up. Hold on the down. Wait a few months or a year or 2 for the next round which will be bigger than this one.

What is driving the price? I think it is just the close timing of the China capital controls, the EU VAT ruling, and making the front page of the Economist.

looks like taiwan just pissed on our parade.

oh well, thanks for delaying the inevitable, and perhaps even stopping the market going out of control prematurely.

I can't see this having much impact. Taiwan is not exactly a BTC powerhouse, and if Taiwan says "heads", you can bet China will say "tails".
It kind of gives it street cred & legitimacy elsewhere.

Actually you can. Sadly, BTC doesn't have this useful property. Now I get why fiat lovers say BTC has no tangible value.  Shocked

The bearflesh barbacue

But bear hunting is not cool. Ever seen one in the wild? You know they can hurt you, but if you ignore them, they usually go away - a bit like trolls really.

Amazing how all the resident bears come out to play when we've had a 3-4 dollar correction, absolutely adamant that

- This epic price surge hasn't lost them any money.
- They then proceed to tell us that they'll now be shorting & making lots of money.

One of the above scenarios is usually bull shit but which one?

This amazing price surge certainly hasn't made you any money. Not unless you've cashed out, which you didn't.
And even if you did, you're sure to blow all the money on scratch tickets and bunk crack, so same difference Smiley

My 'HODLING' nest is worth a significant amount more than it was even a short while ago.
I haven't cashed out old friend but things are looking up. Can't you be happy for us long term oppressed HODLER'S?

Maybe if we do go to the moon I'll send you a few satoshi's for your efforts?

Be careful. A few Satoshis might be worth a lot by then.

Nah you cant money are full of bacteria and illness and you will get serious butthurt.  Tongue

Anyway it's a metaphor saying money just devalue every year till infinitum.

And yet every bit-coiner is euphoric because suddenly his magical BTCeans can buy them ~20% more real money.
Undecided
Or a 20% bigger house.

Have you cashed out (bought that 20% bigger house)? If not, my point stands Smiley

Nope. Why would I not just hold BTC, like I hold USD, and a house. They all have value.

You *use* a house. And only an idiot holds $$$, because worthless [and rapidly depreciating] toilet paper. Duh!

@cokr0ach: There once was a man from Nantucket.

I told you fiat had tangible value.

For the purpose of calculating the value of your stash, which US exchange does the community think shows the most representative value these days, and why? That used to be a non issue when there was only Gox.
