That makes sense. But there is someone trying to drive the price up. Reminds me to a similar situation in the 60s just after the -> 53 crash.
Could also be a classic bull - bear fight. Now bear has dumped 2k to 131 - we'll see if bull reacts.
That bear was actually driving the price down. Stupidly placing a 1.5k wall lower and lower before finally panicing and selling into the 132 wall. That seems like compete amateur crap to me rather than manipulation attempt. The person actually thought someone was going to just buy their large'ish wall on a low volume Saturday but instead they just created a resistance and no one bought, thus the price couldn't go anywhere but down, and they chased it for the last couple hours, always lowering the 1.5k. In the end it went from 135 to 133 and finally they gave up and sold into the 132 bid wall. HAHAH what a joke.
TBH most of the time I read manipulator here I mentally replace the word with 'amateur trader'. Sure, the market is manipulated as all markets are, but not every trade that moves the market is a 'manipulation'. A lot of it is just overly emotional trading (panic at potentially missing an opportunity)
Lots of paranoia here me thinks

Yep, I'm one of those... I've got none at the moment I sold them earlier on (slight panic sell, to be honest). If I buy in again I'll be buying in at pretty much the same as I sold at. I just can't see where this is going (up or down). As you can tell I'm new to this and have never traded before pre-BTC.

Ask wall near ATH, brace yourselves for the coming storm..
Doubtful at this point. The $9M missing from the bid side should make any dumper fearful.
As I'm completely new to this, does that mean the price will go up or down? Down more?

This is a good sign.
Bitcoin is taken seriously and they are already thinking about possible regulation!
Just to make sure that when this industry takes off the US will be part of it and not lagging behind!
+ 1
Like it or not, regulation is what's going to take bitcoin mainstream, and is therefore, very bullish.
But not before a crash back to single digits? Just spitballin' here.
I don't think it will ever go that low again. The last time it was below $10 was August 2012.

According to clarkmoody: Got 1104 asks and 9158 bids. Still looking good.
I just bought 0.1BTC back... I wish I didn't sell in April

but its all good, they're really good news behind us, money will come flowing in like never b4.
we are looking to forum a cup and handle, while we wait for the money flow.
Probably a stupid question but i've heard the phrase 'cup and handle' here a few times before... What exactly am I looking for?

i cant do it
i cant sell me coins!

again I've got 22 BTC a few days past a month so far mining as a NOOB....how many of you guys are gonna crack like an egg when/if BTC hits 1000 usd ..... ack....and from what I've seen on here if everyone runs to sell at the same time ..you seem to lock up the works anyway with no one selling....a nice little delusional loop
I've only got 22 coins ..it hits 1000 usd and I actually have the $$$ to plan and implement my foolish mid life crisis correctly (sports cars co-eds and bimbos)..(must resist)
anyway you with over 100 coins (big brass ones) I will watch ponder and learn and
www.mtgox.com is at $721 and going up as I type ....all aboard the 'roller coaster" exit stage left
sheez....only been doing this a month and flabbergasted already
Don't think that you are the only one with such a small portfolio! Big profits can still be made with what you have, it's all about timing and it's never too late!
Haha you say that 22BTC is a small portfolio... That's still huge compared to me! 0.11BTC currently! I just need to invest more and will when I get paid again

Honestly though, a long term (as long as BTC doesn't get outlawed in future) market cap of $50B-$100B is feasible and that would price each BTC at $2381- $4761. That's not taking out the lost BTC or BTC in storage (not in the exchanges) so with that taken into account I think the price *should* go a lot higher than that long term.

Does anyone know an easy way of showing more than two browser windows on one screen? I use my TV as my monitor and I know you can split into two easy but is there any easy way to split them into four or more? Without the address bar being at the top? I've tried to do this but it ends up looking funny. It's just so I can watch more than 2 live price feeds at once. There's probably a website that can do all this in one window but I'm not aware of this.

F11 ?
I tried making some of my windows smaller and did that - it only takes the current tab full screen

$750 (Stamp) getting closer. It could be a nice battle, bears seem to have more ammo in the frontlines

I think if we break the ATH on bitstamp ($755), that would be pretty crazy. You might get a lot of people saying "it's different this time" and really believing it.
IMO craziness starts when the btcchina wall at 5000 falls
Not far off now... Can you imagine the media frenzy when we hit $1000?

What's really going to matter for the rest of the franchises, is whether these participating Subways are seeing any significant revenue via Bitcoin.
You went finally all in?
It was a neutral observation but yes, tis true. I have hung up my bear claws. Though I always kept some BTC, I could have had more. Working on correcting that as we speak.

What can I say...I was wrong.
And how that XRP investment went?
Sorry, I cannot help it, I remember those summer debates we had

Sorry to hijack this conversation but i've got 0.13BTC locked in a Ripple account that needs transferring to a real BTC wallet but i've still not signed up properly to bitstamp so can't do it myself yet. If anyone fancies sending 0.12BTC to 17QLJG5wmmcYhACGJKA3B9j9yNGAJUzKsS and then gives me their ripple address, i'll send you 0.13BTC through Ripple. If anyone wants to take this up, pm me your BTC address first so I know who's sent it. Thanks

How big do you think SR was compared to, lets say, Satoshi Dice in BTC volume?
